On The Road

Middle Tenne: On The Road
It's been a busy travel season in Schulmania. The Great Western Road is under construction. Developed in a joint venture with Evean Vansop, the road will serve to join Schulmania's eastern, developed zone with the west coast and the ports of Evean Vansop. At the moment, the western half of the continent is completely undeveloped and populated solely by small groups of feline traditionalists who shun development. Right now, the completed segment runs from Roane-Anderson to Holston. A travel plaza has been built in Holston to provide services for the traveling public. Some foreign companies have earned concessions to build as agreed with our development partners. Let's see how things look.

Holston is a pretty quiet small town. At least for now. When the road is finished, it may become a metropolis!

And here's the Great Western Road

The travel plaza is not the only game in town. Local businesses have a great location right on the main road.

The Holston travel plaza is on the Great Western Road just east of town. No doubt you've seen similar such things on the road before.

Here's one I saw recently on the West Virginia Turnpike...

Some of the resident in Holston work at the travel plaza. Many others work in businesses supported by the travelers on the new road. Bojangles's manager Beau Chanteur lives in a lovely home seen above, next door to the charming cottage owned by Starbucks barista Latte Macchiato.

School is set to begin at the little yellow schoolhouse on the corner. Samuel Houston School is best known for its upside down textbooks. They were printed wrong and when the publisher discovered this, a letter was sent with this mow-famous line: "Houston, we have a problem."

Furry Fred the cook lives in a cozy cottage near his BFF Misha Veggie's house. Misha is the one who mixes up the mixed vegetables. I'm not sure what he does. I think he reads them convoluted stories until they are confused and all mixed up. Or something like that...

Fred and Misha work at the Ruby Tuesday travel plaza. The pretty waitress, Penny Noknoknok, also works here.

Your order is now served!

All of the workers at both the town's shops and the travel plaza have tidy homes nearby

Be sure to patronize the local businesses as you travel. The town comes alive thrice weekly for the farmers market. Fresh tasty treats from local producers are a great deal. The cookie lady shows up Thursdays to sell the biggest, bestest cookies you have ever had!

Petco is a popular stop for the traveling feline

They're having free pie at O'Charley's! Let's go!
