Neue Steiermark: Manufacturing
The District of Neue Steiermark is located in north-central Schulmania, along the border of Imperial Mookimia and Mookimian Verà. The name was selected after the inspiring 2011 State Visit to Terra Canis (click HERE to see its namesake in Austria). Easy river access allows for transit west and south to secure areas for distribution across Schulmania. The Veràn capital of Kolibri is a short distance away on the other side of the river, allowing for adequate supplies and resources to maintain the military outpost and its support facilities. In this new transit hub a substantial investment has been made. Investors from Evean Vansop (click HERE to see more on this topic) from Feasty Foods have opened up a full scale cat food cannery and other cat food production facilities. The site they have selected is inland, along the Fresca River on Imperial Mookimian border and close to the city of Kolibri. The locals were not super excited that the company’s real estate agent was a dog. Thus, the site’s name became known as “Cave Canem”.
The new district’s countryside
The new city of Cave Canem will be quite different than the typical Schulminion city in several aspects. First, it is an industrial city. We don't really have those. Also, the material of choice for construction is predominantly local brick. This lends a distinctive hue to most of the structures in town. Red brick is definitely the 'in' color here. With a few thousand well paying industrial and support jobs, Cave Canem has been attracting plenty of new residents. To accommodate the influx, new and taller residential buildings have been built. This despite the fact that Cave Canem has actually elected a dog as mayor - a Schulmania first.

The tallest residential structure in the nation to date is here in Cave Canem. Notice our citizen in the middle of the street. This is why we ban cars: too many feline like to go in the street and we don't want them to get hurt.

SlantiCorp produces things which are slanty or diagonal. That's a pretty broad category. But, they do specialize in slantiness and diagonality.
4V Yarn Ball Mill produces the yarn balls cats love to chase. The company is called 4V after its cofounders, Vaughan Vargas and Victoria Vii.
