HAPPY 2013!
Wow, It's been a few weeks since I've really worked on New SorGun, but the Christmas/New Year break was nice to spend with family and friends. I did a lot of reading (and watched the movie 'Lincoln' - great movie and fascinating depiction of the time period) and have a few new ideas for where New SorGun will go over the next few updates. I honestly thought I would be burned out of SC4 by now, but the itch just doesn't seem to want to go away anytime soon. Along with the overall story, I am starting to plan new Lotting and Moding projects along the way. I've updated the first page of my Lot thread to give you a hint of what will be coming down the pike. I'll try and update this list of ideas as new ones come to me. If you have ideas of your own (story, Lots, Mods) please don't hesitate to share.
Well enough chitchat! Let's get on with the show already. I present a little teaser for the next update:

Thank you all for you kind comments!
Fox: Another fantastic trip through History of New SorGun!! Thanks for the mention and inclusion of the Fox family in your CJ and I hope to have that Hotel up and running soon!! Love the second picture, all those little details like the horse drawn carts and the 19th century homes. I loved the before and after of the growth.
The Fox family will continue to play an important part in the development of the region. Thanks again for your support!
ROFLyoshi: I'm just wondering where all this unchecked growth will go. It's exciting now, but surely it will come to a crunch… I'm sure your farmer has already got that one figured out.
Farmer Ben is a wise old soul – and some would say prescient…
NMUSpidey: Hm... Foreboding... My heart is torn, on the one hand I am awed by the beautiful images, on the other, ain't nothin' actually hatched yet... Later, Mater.
I’m glad a few readers caught the reference to that old proverb… ![]()
Ggamgus: Great work! I voted New SorGun. New SorGun is the largest of three communities I believe, and will grow the fastest (it seems). I just think it's a better idea to place a terminus where there are more residences and businesses...
And many readers agreed with you. New SorGun was definetly the peoples choice – now we will find out if the railroad company abides by their wishes.
MilitantRadical: Pretty frikin' sweet as usual. I love watching the evolution of Sorgun, can't wait to see what it looks like a few months down the line.
Lots of changes are in store!
_marsh_: Very nice work. I always feel so immersed in your towns. I hope to see this journal as the towns expand and grow. (I say hope because I don't look at cj's often anymore) Amazing though, keep it up!
Thank you – I consider that high praise coming from a veteran CJer.
Superbacon: Very nice and I'm surprised at how close the vote margin was.
I was too. I think there are a lot of Porthaven fans out there – the little town has spunk.
Liszak: For me, the SorGun is definiton of "natural growth." Your towns are just beautiful, and I also really like all those stories and history you make about it, simply wonderful. I'm not afraid to say that this is best CJ I've ever seen. I really hope that you won't stop doing it and continue to build, that you will reach 21th century and so on...simply amazing!
Thank you very much for the nice comment. _marsh_ and packersfan gave me a lot of inspiration to start a ‘natural growth’ CJ. I’m glad so many folks enjoy my little contribution to the genre.
StanislavSoltys: Seriously, this is the only CJ I look at now! It's amazing! I feel sad whenever I don't see this CJ on the homepage of the website.
Thank you for the kind words – Hopefully I will have something new up each week… that’s the goal at least ![]()
Benedict: Congratulations! [bTT #3 image]
Thank you Ben! Earning the number 3 spot for 2012 is an enormous honor!
