Astoria

Just leftovers of a once industrial city, these factories are served as crack houses or makeshift homes.

Astoria-7.jpg

So much abuse to the river led to horrible living conditions. Even the sewage plant can not even treat all of this pollution, what a mess.

Astoria-3.jpg

At least a few factories remain, but its not all what it seems.

Astoria-5.jpg

Just more reminders of the once glorious city.

Astoria-6.jpg

The usual night.... quiet but deadly.

Is that a sewage line going under a hospital? :P

By the way your city looks great, the elevated rail over that road is well done!

Declare martial law, send in the Marines, quarantine the city for pollution clean-up studies, bam! rebirth. But who has the time? At least we can enjoy looking at your pictures of glorious filth and fabulous squalor.

Very well done. One thing I don't often see in city journals are the razed spaces and urban prairie.

I really like the cement with grass growing in between. Where could I find that?

I'm doing a beat-down rust belt city and could sure use those.

TekindusT: Wow, its my first time doing this type of thing, I'm impressed you thought so. Thanks! btw, Selbring belongs to Huston. :P

Adrinanor: Thanks! ;)

k50dude: The hospital is not near to sewage line. :P I should have done that though. Thanks!

NMUSpidey:  :P Thank you!

tagtag: That is very true, you really do not find those type of pure CJs around here. Then again, this is just a side project. I'm rather dissatisfied that my Onubis portion is cleaner. That should change. btw, here's the link to the concrete set: Concrete Set

estates to the real:  Thanks!

escilnavia: Thank you! The link is at my response to tagtag.

Thanks for the link Evillions.

The city I'm building now is based on the map of Buffalo, and it's sort of a Buffalo/Detroitish kind of city. It's not all bad, there's some pride left by the riverfront, but there's lots of space downtown.

I like to go sometimes to Bing Maps and browse those cities on the bird's eye map view. What really catches your eye is all the parking lots and open spaces.

Not a lot of city journals based on cities like that.

I think you should take the tuleps off the roads connecting with the roads with el rails over them, but I like the pictures though
