    Well I was almost ready to give you people an update, all I needed to do was save my city and take a few pics, and then SC4 crashed to the desktop26.gif.  I should have an update soon though, but for right now I will give you a poll:

    What should be the main source of power? should I,
    A:build more wind power and be happy with that for now
    B:build some wind turbine generators
    C:coal(wich the hills appear to be fillled with
    D: oil(wich will haveto be brought in and therefore more expensive
    E:just be happy with what we have and wait for other options
    F: other(please say)

    gshmails has released a couple windmills to the STEX that I really like, and they blend in to the scenery a lot nicer than the default ones. I say get some of those and use them, unless you've got some areas that you want to look gritty and industrial, where I kinda like the look of oil (but then I use money cheats up the wazoo9.gif)

    Also, if I may make a suggestion, some your images are .png files and take forever to load. I am on DSL and even so they take quite a while. If you convert them all to .jpg with an image editor, they will load much faster, and you don't really lose very much in image quality. (Sorry if you know all this and I'm just being didactic... 1.gif )

    Looks good though. Nothing worse than a crash to desktop...

    Looks like a good start for your first CJ, although it could use some work... the design is not the most realistic but is steadialy improving.
    Just check out some of the other CJs for inspiration, I'm sure that you'll get better in time!

    Looking forward to some progress!

    All: thanks for the comments

    oroen: thank you, I was not aware that the page was slow in loading, seeing as how I have a insanly fast connection, I will try to convert the files for y'all in the future, if I can ever get another update that is30.gif.

    Guess what?  I had another crash to desktop, ever sooner into the game.26.gif  I went back into the game and made some(not much but some)progress in my city(I played for like three to five min), and I then, having learned from my mistakes, saved the game.  The game did not crash this time!  Nope it just locked up while saving32.gif.  So I still have no update and SC4 is not the only thing my whole computer is al messed up right now, everything is locking up and crashing and the computer retarts itself.30.gif  I think it is because of some new ram which I put in, which makes no sense because the ram is new, and of a speed and quantity that my computer can handle.  I have also found what looks like spyware or something on my computer, so I will have to go mess with it a bit(I have already started), and hopfully I will have another update in the next few days.  btw don't worry bout my messing with my computer, I have all my cities backed up.  Thank you all for your comments, you keep this thing alive.

    What are the specs of your computer before, and after the memory upgrade

    and for spyware you need thesse programs
    SpyBot Search & Destroy
    Ad-Aware SE Personal
    Webroot Spysweeper 3.5 trial
    Microsoft Anti-Spyware

    I would close microsoft anti-spyware after a scan, becuase the security features of spysweeper are fine, and Microsoft anti-spyware annoys you if a program tries to install, and if you remove it all internet explorer pages close

    I hope that will help

    OK so I messed with my computer a bit, and it looks like it is working again!9.gif It was something to do with my ram, but my computer has always hap problems with the ram, it is fixed now however so update on the morrow I hope.

    EDIT:Disregard that^^^30.gif, SC4 crashed on me again, I was able to save however, and the rest of my computer is ok.  I think my problem occours when I try to build a rail bridge30.gif, so if any of you know of any such bugs let me know please.  I will try to get an update for you by tomorrow, but if I am right about my problem, I will have to develop my CJ differently30.gif.  So thanks for bearing with me, and I would very much like any help19.gif.

    Alright, seeing as how my computer is finnaly working(I think), I have update #10 for you! I have also put in a tree mod to change the trees, and I plan to putin a rock mod, but this is how it is for now. I also have planted more trees. something I needed for the storyline, but I am not sure if I will put it in or not.
    15kv1.jpg

    A lot has happened, I hope you enjoy, and remember this is written as if it is Mark Dabb's City Journal.

    ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
    Well Jack and I went up into those hills, and found out that they are rich in several minerals. After several long hikes in the area, I decided that it would hold the citie's first dirty industry. So I set out and planned the railway, and went right to work on building it.
    133zl.jpg
    It is also the only way to get up there other than hiking(which Jack and I did) or jumping out of a plane3.gif(which we want to do someday). After a lot of work, and planning, it was ready for industry. (sorry this part of the railway was removed, and is therefore not in the city pic, it should be next update though)
    48rs.jpg
    The rail bridge to get people oven the river:
    57xk.jpg
    On the other side of the river, some space had to be given up for the train station, which the oweners of the land did without complaining.
    69uu1.jpg
    I next went to work on preparing the city for greatness by buying back some land for the major roadway that I plan to put where main street is now. I built some streets there for now.
    148se.jpg
    I soon got a letter passed on to me that was mailed to M.M.:
    letter47mt.jpg
    The pictures inside the letter:
    15kv1.jpg
    28ak.jpg
    32zb.jpg
    161ri.jpg
    So I went to work on the city once again, and I must say it looks pretty good(in my humble, unbiased opinion) I bought the land from the farms close to the river, and gave them some new zones farther away from the river surrounded by trees.
    76bd.jpg
    86ca.jpg
    I left two farms be for now, they are very profitable, as well as being the cities supply of dairy and llama products, also one is just about far enough away that it does not need to be moved as of yet. They also use very little pesticides, compared to the other farms that had to be moved.
    91sv.jpg
    109md.jpg
    I soon took advantage of the newly purchased land, and zoned out some new residential area, along with planting many trees.
    118tx.jpg
    I am very happy with the way this turned out, as it is my first try at non griddy zoning. Also it is THE way to build a city according to crtics in Simtropolis, the magazine for mayors and city planners only, that I read often and even am planning to put this CJ in someday(if the great dirktator deems it worthy to grace the pages of Simtrop). Also you with your highly trained CJ reading eye, have probably noticed the waterfront zoning which I put in before I got the letter, to help with the ammount of people wanting to move in, I now have more availble land that I planned for, but that is ok. I also put in some C and R zoning at the far end of the city, where there is a arrow of guidence to the great beyond(aka sim nation to all you non mayor types out there). I put it in so people working at the farms could be closer, and so the people would not have to drive far to get fuel or food or anything.
    124ao.jpg
    Finnaly an almost current reigon shot, I will get a more up to date one soon(I think Jack is getting impatient about the sky diving, NAVY people, go figure,3.gif  I will take it then.)

    I like Tree Valley better than all that destruction stuff.   Keep up the good work.

    We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

    Alright!  Update time!  Thanks for all the comments everybody!  They keep this CJ going.

    _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

      Well, we now have several new power plants for all the new development that is planned.  We put in mainly wind, but we also put in a new solar plant to see if this could help in the future.

    <ahttp://img27.echo.cx/img27/7402/17fr1.jpg align=baseline>

      A ton has happened in tree valley, I will mainly show pictures this time.  We first look at the area in the hills.

    <ahttp://img27.echo.cx/img27/2616/28pa.jpg align=baseline>

    <ahttp://img60.echo.cx/img60/1093/208oh.jpg align=baseline>

    <ahttp://img83.echo.cx/img83/8199/286zj.jpg align=baseline>

    <ahttp://img83.echo.cx/img83/3862/358zn.jpg align=baseline>

      As you can see in the last picture, we are running out of space up there, I will have to think about my options on that
