STOP EVERYTHING!!!
This is the best and therefore most important idea that I have ever had.

What city in the US has the best architecture? That's right Chicago!

And what was the biggest event to ever happen in Chicago?
The WORLD'S COLUMBIAN EXHIBITION of 1893!!!

The expo had amazing architecture and unfortunatly almost none of it is left today. The only real structure remaining is the Museum of Science and Industry which served as the expo's Fine Arts building. At the very least could someone make this.

The entire expo would be amazing to see in a city and would define it a thousand times more than any olympiad or tower.

Please help me make it a reality

I have a few requests which, as ever, I would be extremely grateful if anyone who can BAT would consider:

The Center, Hong Kong

(The one which looks like Central Plaza, but isn't)

thecentre.JPG

Trump Tower, New York

(The original, oppulent, OTT and wonderfully tacky one):

trump_tower1.jpg

usny6611.jpeg

Tower 42/The old Natwest Tower/The World Finincal Centre, London:
200px-Natwest.tower.arp.500pix.jpg

Finally, the Elephant Building in Bangcok:

(see the Worst Buildings thread, I personally think it is great, because of the sense of humour it has, and would be a fantastic addition to any SC4 city):

What we really lack, I think, are custom made hospital bats. There are a few hospital lots in the STEX, but nearly all of them just use and mix standard props. None of them are of my liking. Now, I don't have any concrete suggestions so far. So I'll keep my eyes open and post some pictures of RL hospitals as soon as I can think of what to post.

Ok...I can see a LOT of request have come in, though I have one that I think is a little unique  1.gif  ...let me try to explain and I will do it in versions from Basic Level 1 to Advanced Level X.

Project Oil Tycoon Town
RisingSun Oil Addon?

Level 1 Design--
First a 2x2 Plop design of an Oil Well Pump should be made with Oil Tanks (Industrial)
Picture here.
0001-0407-2212-4913_SM.jpg
on the first half of the 2x2 section (1x2 part) you have the Oil Well pump and on the other, you have the Oil Tanks.

Level 2
Make the Oil Well Pump animated.
--Plop Design costs ($1000 ...the cost of drilling the well)
--Income from Plot is $75/month
--Moderate Water pollution effect
--No road necessary for connection
--Power Connection necessary (small electrical cost)
--Negative area Residential effect (i.e. Dirty Industrial)

Level 3
--Oil Refinery in same area (city/town) increases income by Oil Wells ($25/per month per Oil Well)
NOTE: Would be ideal to use CSX Rising Sun Oil Refinery ver. 1 for this, though need to talk to the owner ( decius ) for this file first.

Level 4
Make pipe connection from Oil tanks.
Allow Pipe connection to Oil Refinery.
Connecting oil well to Refinery increases income ($50/per month per Oil Well)
NOTE: Would be ideal to use RisingSun Oil City Pipeline Set , again need to talk to the owner ( decius ) for this file first.

Level 5
If possible....
Make plot random income number between 0 and 150 (simulate how good of a well it is)
--Zero would represent a 'dry hole' and if possible the well do NOT animate or changes to just a pipe sticky out of the ground
--Oil Well Plots would 'Decay' over time of 20 years such as Landfills do when you disconnect the roads, though Oil Wells would start decaying from the moment you put them down.
--Oil Well/Dry Holes are NOT bullbozeable (can not destroy like landfills, must decay).  This would prevent people from just plopping down a bunch and destroying for high income numbers.

Thoughts/Comments/Suggestions?? 1.gif

Well, I'm not sure anyone will tackle this, but here goes. I am a student at the University of Tampa and it has some really unique architecture. If someone did this one it could add alot of flavor to your game. Actually, you could probably use it for a university or a mosque/church. You really should only try to do Plant Hall and Plant park which is right next to it or you won't be able to get any detail out of it. Here's some links to help.

Some detail shots of the minarets.

This is a campus map. I reccomend only using the area in the lower rigth hand corner. Plant Hall is the building that contaoins #40, 51, 47, etc. and you can see plant park right there next to it.

OK. I just cannot find a decent picture that isnt obstructed or 2 miles away from the building, but I am still looking.

Here are a few that give a shot of the whole building.

I would like to respectfully request a Shinto shrine for use in my CJ. It seems that most of the world's religions are represented somehow or another in the game or on the STEX, except my own.

Here are some pictures of Ise Shrine, which is the biggest and most important in Shinto.

jise11ws.jpg

I can supply more pictures for anyone who is interested in doing this.

Thanks.

Very unlikely that anyone will read this but i'll post anyway.

I feel the ports look a bit bland and you can not get them to cover a big area. Therefore i would love someone to make a simple lot, possibly which is about 3x3 in size which just has containers on it. Would be amazing if the containers could be made to appear random so it doesnt look too uniform.

I've noticed there are props for containers on the STEX.

I think it would be quite simple for an experienced lot editor to do. Here are few pictures of containers:

<ahttp://www.symeo.com/container_port7.jpg align=baseline>

<ahttp://www.chinadaily.com.cn/english/doc/2005-02/17/xin_540202170328838270495.jpg align=baseline>

<ahttp://www.info.gov.hk/infrastructuregallery/graphic/container_port.jpg align=baseline>

Basically all im looking for is a lot with some containers on, the maximum height they go up to in the RW is 8 containers high.

I've got a great idea for a BAT. Somebody with alot of experience using the BAT (not me of course,20.gif) should design the Winchester Mystery House. Brilliant, I know. 2.gif Here's a little history of this place:
<img src='http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winchester_Mystery_House'>
Located in San Jose, CA, this 6.5 Acre (24,000m squared), mansion was built by Ms. Sarah L. Winchester, widow of the man who invented the Winchester Rifle. She built the place, from 1884, every single day up until her death in 1922!!! She built the place because a psychic told her there was a curse among the Winchester family because of the many lives lost due to the Winchester Rifle.(Sounds like someone's got a grudge22.gif) She also was told to keep building a house, never stoping, or her life would end from those restless spirits... Well, she did exactly that.
With 160 rooms, 47 fireplaces, secret halls and passages, stairways leading to a closed ceiling, doors opening to the outside 3 stories up6.gif, this mansion is a marvel to even today's architect! Even with all this, it still lookes wonderful outside.
I think this would be a great project. I would start it, but I don't know a darn thing about BAT or where to start.
So if someone would like to tackle this, or have already started, I would love to hear about it. Thanks!2.gif

In an effort to keep all requests together I am starting this thread to serve this purpose.&nbsp; Post any and all requests that you would like to see.&nbsp; Move any requests that you have in other threads and let me know once you have transfered them, so the old thread can be taken down.
Thanks&nbsp; 1.gif

It's a shame it's hard to find custom monorail stations.
A sugestion is, since the in-game monorail requires being next to a road, usually there's a road or avenue running alongside the monorail. how about making 2 variations of monorail station with a shopping mall transit enabled on top of an avenue or a road and perhaps visually compatible extension modules that place on top of the avenue and/or the monorail track to customize the shopping mall complex?

Of course this idea can be used on el-trains stations as well.

Welcome to Simtropolis, AnnihilatorX!

I would personally like to request for better private schools. It doesn't matter if it's an urban or rural setting. It might look best if there are various buildings built during different eras (where I live most schools have been added to, particularly with older schools).

I'm sure other people have requested this but I would like to see more beautiful high and medium density NON-LANDMARK residential buildings.  There are only a handful of functional residential buildings out there.  I don't really have a specific building or building style in mind...I would just like to see more funcional residential buildings.  1.gif  Keep up the amazing work all you brilliant BAT'ers out there!!  44.gif  44.gif
