What the hell is a convention centre?

It's Yank for conference or exhibition centre. Like the SECC:

Is anyone doing Chartres, Reims, and Amiens Cathedral? These are arguably the best of the French Gothic cathedrals.

Is anyone replying to these requests?
I haven't seen anyone saying that they were gonna actually make any of these wanted buildings

look bud, just because you request it means jack crap.  this thread is simply to get you requesters off of our backs and somewhere else where you arent clogging up the BAT sections.  sorry to be harsh, but its our ultimate decision what we BAT.  and this thread merely gives us ideas, its not a guaruntee of anything.  keep that in mind, and dont automatically think that we are going to BAT it if you request it.

it gets a bit tiring when you are taken advantage of.  not saying that any specific individual has.  just keep in mind that we have lives too.

A little harsh but I agree with you. I think what needs to be reiterated is there a limited number of people who understand the bat and those that do, well most of them are working on projects of their own or within a group. Patience is truly a virtue and people should utilize that virtue by either waiting for some type of response to your request or by learning the bat. Top of the line bats are not created overnight, they take time, espescially the skyscrapers. Hell there are enough requests in this thread to warrant enough work until SimCity6 came out and even then it might not be finished. My best advice is try the bat. If nothing else it will give you an appreciation of the work that goes into all of this. When I first came here I had absolutely no idea how in the heck the bat worked but I stuck at it and now am diligently working on fulfilling my own requests that were posted...guess where...here! Whew...glad that's over but it had to be said.

Anyways, not one rain on anyones parade, request away. You never know who may share the same desire to see something in the game. Just remember, saying things like When's someone gonna make this or I want this done now does not bump you up some magical list. Unless of course you bribe somebody(J/k)

A request for, and the desire to have that building should be motivation enough.

SC4, Forevermore!

Currently preoccupied with architecture school...lurking with caution.

Ok, Sorry if this is doubled up, but I have tried posting this about 15 times.

Can someone make a pit head mine like the ones that we had in the UK until Thatcher started closing them down as this would look correct in some areas in my regions

how bout the canceled 7 SOUTH DEARBORN project from chicago?!?!
it was to be the next worlds tallest building! it shouldnt be too hard to creat since it appears almost totally symetrical. but its still an awsome building and i can picture it all to perfectly in a simcity.

I am (yes you guessed it) a mormon, and i was wondering if there were going to be any creations of Mormon temples?. I personally believe they are architecture wonders and marvels. and some can make a city more impressive and lifelike-if you will. They had some in sc3000,jus wondering if it were gonna happen for sc4.....thank you.

This Is not so much as a wish list, but just a curious question. and any answer would be greatly appreciated.16.gif

Just 4 the record, I'm not requesting anything, jus would like to know if it were possible, I'm willing to learn myself1.gif

Wow almost 30 pages of request.I see that I'm not the only one that can understand BAT.

Another Free download from EA that only the few and choosen can use.I do have a few ideas but what is the point I'll be in a nursing home before they get done.

Thanx to those who have posted lots on STEX for us who are left looking from the outside of the party.

i finally found the request thread.

this is a cool building. i was wondering if anybody was willing to make it. it's in Vancouver, Canada. it's a 5-star hotel, major cruise ship terminal, major convention centre, world trade centre, and it's a theatre. most of it is on water...and maybe it could give 4000 C$$$ jobs. the skyscraper you see on the end is part of the building. this is a major project, but very rewarding as you can see.

I wouldn't mind more Canadian content either. Been trying to get into modeling buildings for SimCity, but cant get the hang of it.

Places like PoloPark Mall, Portage Place, or Parliment.

How about scale versions of the United States capital and perhaps even the white house.  i for one would love to see more government type office buildings  and official buildings such as the supreme court, etc

Would anyone be interested in making a Weis Supermarket?

I made a request in SimGoober's BAT thread about it but I know he is doing work of his own and I don't expect him to drop that for some random request, even though I really hope he decides to make it, he is by far one of the best BAT'ers here.

But if anyone else feels up the challenge and feels they can do just as good if not better with it then here are some pics for you to work with:

I'm trying to make the city of spokane and the landmarks would be useful.

First, this is the remains of the great northern railway station. It's about 15 stories tall and 40 ft x 40ft base. It's located in Riverfront park. (the tan clock tower).

j-RiverfrontPark300x200.jpg

Next is the Spokane opera house. It's about 255x200ft and about
6 stories tall. Its the big white building. (the white building w/ the slanted roof. It looks about the same from the other side.

Tell me if i need different angles of these buildings.
I'd do it my self but im bad at bat. These buildings would be much apreciated!!!44.gif44.gif44.gif

Let me help you out here.  Try this or this or this .

It's against the rules to only post a link or links.  We want you to explain them at least.
