Has anyone done the Microsoft campus buildings? The one's that look like huge Xs. I would be quite surprised if no one did that as dirty industry. I guess you could make it as high tech ($$$) but, does anyone believe that?

Or, you could throw a twist into it. As a plop, it's dirty industry, with a huge negative effect on high tech, but fairly good to commercial office. If it were a growable, then change that to high tech, but instead of giving you money based on occupancy, it takes it away, as a fee for being there.

What do you think abut this one:

agbar.JPG

It is Torre Agbar, and it is being built in Barcelona. The project is almost finished.

I really like this building, looks great when the sunlight hits the glasses that recover all the stucture

Could someone try to BAT it?

Thanks4.gif

i would REALLY love to see some of these gorgeous structures made by you talented BAT-ers. im quite new to this site so i have a FEW requests most are probably just impossible/to time consuming..

1. World Financial Center (lower manhattan) looks [relatively] simple liek squares and kind of short:

04-world_financial_center.jpg

2. New Yorks flatiron building is a classic
Flatiron_Building_New_York.jpg

3. The Guggenheim (Frank Gehry) in Bilbao, Spain, but this might be impossible ot make in BAT...
cid_bilbao_003.jpg

4. Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank (norman Foster), also looks REALLY hard to BAT..

cid_hksb_001.jpg

5. The Segram building in manhattan (Mies Van Der Rohe) would fit in ANY city, also its standard rectangle shape might make it easy to BAT
seagram1.gif

thanks in advance if anyoen actualyl attempts one of these!!!44.gif44.gif44.gif44.gif

I request BATS or lots of these once known companies=

Service Merchandise
Montgomery Ward
Venture
Zayre (used to be everywhere)
Eagle Country Market (midwest) aka Lucky Foods in California
Builder's Square
Child's World or Palace
Hardee's (actually was owned by Carl Jr's but in midwest)
Sizzler (we have none left here)
Horton (large German department store merged with Kaufhof)
Hertie (another large German department store that went under)

may they RIP & live in my virtual cities 8.gif

If anyone knows of some more feel free to add on to the list.

I have four great Los Angeles buildings I'd love to use in my cities:

Disney Concert Hall by Frank Gehry:
disney_hall.jpg

Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, by Jose Rafael Moneo:
cathedral.jpg

Los Angeles City Hall, by John Parkinson & Albert C. Martin:
city_hall.jpg

Central Library, by Bertram Grosvenor Goodhue:

If anyone wanted to take one or more of these on, I'd be happy to provide lots more photos. Just e-mail me at eric@ericstoltz.com.

Thanks!

Eric

Just yesterday a new tower in Philly was approved for construction. It is the Comcast Center on 1 Pennsylvania Plaza. It's height is 972 feet with 57 stories, i think it would make a beautiful building to have in anyone's Sim City. Unfortunately my design skills are quite lacking, thats why im posting this request.

here are some pics

I would like to request that someone BAT the Hearst Tower in Charlotte, NC. I'm working on the Charlotte Plaza right now, I just got SC4 but I've always used the previous versions of BAT, this one seems far more complex. I would upload images of the Hearst Tower as well as my Charlotte Plaza building, but I'm not sure of how to do that.

Thanks,
cw528080

sorry bout posting so many times in other boxes

One Of the Greastest Things In Manhattan NYC is the Busy and exciting atmosphere one of the best examples of this is The One Times Square Building New York
On the outside it is literally surrounding by hundreds of Bill boards and advertisement on the inside is an ordinary building with no functioning purpose it is ussually used to hold the New Years Countdown every year at Midnight on the 31st of december it displayed massive celebration welcoming the new year with fire works, balloons and streamers

I am currently trying to design a Manhattan Replica i have allready tryed to design this building in Gmax but failed due to a little knowledge of use of this program

Please check attached File for Pic

I will be giving more pics and maps asap to use as a referrence

Thanks Guys

quote> How many times are you going to post about this building. You could make this building with the LE. Just use billboards found on the STEX. And if you are not good with the LE just search Times Square and youll find a building that looks similar to the real thing.

Have you been to Hong Kong? There are many new, modern skycrapers. If you have no idea on making bat, try to brose these websites and see if you have any idea.

Some version of the StarFleet Communications HQ

sf-comm-headquarters.jpg

or the academy.

A lot with the Seaquest would be interesting too.
