I love this idea personally. many folks probly just want their simple and fun computer game but I would love to see city-building games take a turn toward realism like this. I'm an urban planning major and i only wish that this type of thing could one day be respectable instead of just a game for the average joe.

how bout the canceled 7 SOUTH DEARBORN project from chicago?!?! it was to be the next worlds tallest building! it shouldnt be too hard to creat since it appears almost totally symetrical. but its still an awsome building and i can picture it all to perfectly in a simcity.

one thing i forgot... has anyone heard anything about Geosequestration??? i recently did a report on it and found it really interesting. basically its purpose is to somehow collect large amounts of CO2 before it enters the atmosphere, convert it onto liquid form and store it deep in underground voids (drained oil reserves) and keeping it there. WHAT A CONCEPT!!! ide shake the hand of the person who thought of that one! and the cool thing is that they have already started to do it! feel free to ask questions cuz i love this stuff! please pm me if so -

cut oil usage! stop pollution! no more gas-guzzlers!... not that these ideas aren't good and dont deserve our attention, its just that none of these, not even combined, can stop the global warming issue. lets just say, for the sake of argument, that through some impossible effort, CO2 production was sliced in half. GREAT! but the destruction of the ozone layer (vital to the entire problem) is far beyond repair. there would still be an extreme amount of carbon dioxide up there slowely rotting away the atmosphere. the CO2 thats left simply wont float out into space, and there would still be the remaining half pouring in! sorry, but i see global warming as irreversable, so i wouldnt try to blame it on anyone for that matter.
