These are all buildings in my home town.

 

I was just wondering if anyone could recreate them as BAT files to incorporate into the game? I think like some of the buildings on Screwballs thread, that they would look good in a smaller town or city.

Any BAT-ers from or been to New Orleans? Have you seen the Mardi Gras Fountain? It's not really too spectacular by day, but at night it is amazing (or it was to me when I was a small child).

Maybe those of you who live in New Orleans or have been there and have pictures have a better shot of it. I searched the Net, and couldn't really find any good pictures. At night, the fountain is lit with many different colored lights, and these lights change colors as the water height changes.

Under the thread: Operation Buffalo Wing:  A Blizzard of BAT. I noticed in the chart of possible future BAT projects that Albany, NY was listed with the plaza and its buildings in there. being my hometown, I was wondering if anyone is interesting in picking up and creating those buildings. for some inspiration here are some picts of the plaza and surrounding area.........

I've got a request that is essential to the sanity of our sims.  Our Sims in our cities need a place to go where they can find the latest dance tracks, albums, and DJ's can keep up to date with thier passion in order to keep the parties in our cities moving!  We need a DJ Central here at simtropolis' LEX.  Somebody please give it a shot!  And please use the logo!

Hi,
this was probably requested before, but i did try and search and didnt find too much about it so dont be mad at me .

I would to request a large hospital (should probably be 4x4 or 4x5 or 5x5 or 6x6) that will be for major urban areas, it should have capcity of 10000 sims and should probably cost just about 2.5 then today's hospital (ring area should be just a little bigger).

There are a couple of bat hospitals in the exchage but i'm sorry they are not too realistic in my view, and i would realy like to have one that is a bat and not a mix of made in the lot editor only (cause i didnt like those too much because even the good ones still looked looked like building put together and not a pre-designed concept).

if there are things i can do (testing, suggestions, small art stuff or whatever please inform me ...) we might also open a new thread if there will be some 'action' in this

Here is my request:

Central Station in Sydney.



Platforms 1-15 have tracks which terminate at the station. Platforms 16-23 have tracks which continue from the Redfern (southern end) end to the City Circle (northen end). Platforms 24 and 25 are located underground directly beneath the above ground platforms. No more capacity problems with stations with only 2 or 4 platforms.

The current University occupies a very large area, and is in those 'old' style of architecture.

A modern, highrise university tower which has a small base area (5 by 5, perhaps?)would do very nicely for the land-scarced and land-expensive modern city.A modern styled tower of perhaps 20-30 floors would do nicely.

Can someone do it with BAT?Thanks.

What I think we really need is a new cruise ship port. The old one looks nothing like true, real cruise ship ports. Does anyone think they can do this? Also, is it possible to make the cruise ships so they actually leave the city and don't dissappear like 5 seconds after leaving port?

the problem is with growable the w2w effect isnt so good since other buildings will grow too, the problem with ploppables is that they dont function properly so you cant really depend on them to make a city.

I don't agree with you frogface on that point, because Co ploppables ARE working , Res-ploppables aren't

 

Point 2 : I downloaded MANY w-t-w buildings and all with all they are appearing beautifu lin the game. I think the paris rowhouses(made by xannepan) would be great as Co-plopables or Res-growables. Amd if the effect isn't nice you can destroy non-paris rowhouses if you know what i mean.

I think modern skyscrapers are great to make, such as the rotterdam proposal and the eastern harbour lowrise in amsterdam, and more 70's european housing prjects, like de bijlmer in Amsterdam and pieces of St Denis In Paris.

Is anyone planning on constructing this wonderful building? I'm sure it would be quite a complex BAT, at ground level it has a square cross-section, and it tapers to a line at the top, meaning no two floors have the same plan. Would love to see it realised.
