OK, I have only 1 request...

A Fusion Power Plant!!! Am I the only one who was disappointed when Fusion wasn't included in SimCity 4? They replaced it with Hydrogen, which is not the same thing as Fusion although Nuclear Fusion does involve isotopes of hydrogen.

I took the liberty of finding a few pictures/info on the net of what a fusion reactor would probably look like. These pics are current projects, with ITER being more recent than JET. The scientists have been able to create nuclear fusion but not at a rate where the energy output is greater than the input.

If anyone wants to see my pathetic attempt to model a fusion reactor core, here it is:

The above was so frustrating that eventually I just put it aside. Please, I would really appreciate it if some awesome BAT guru could make a fusion plant. Thanks so much!!!!

Not really a request because I can live without this, more of an idea thing.

City Water:

watertwr.jpg is one kind

http://www.usa-365.com/Michigan%20City%20water%20tower.jpg is another.

there is the Modern Water Facility which is nice, however for its sice doesn't seem to match what it produces in water.

For these two I would assume that the first would be about 2 tiles in diameter and the second would be 3 possibly 4 tiles in diameter.

I'd like to throw my vote in for an accurate, true-to-life American football stadium. NFL or college, doesn't matter.

Mayor of Tempest Lake[/quoteAUTHOR]
I want a mayor statue of Yoshi

[/quoteMESSAGE][/bEGINQUOTE]

What about that big statue of Mario from the SNES version of what is now termed Sim City Classic?

And another thing: I saw Phoenix Skyharbor Airport mentioned. What about functional models of real-life airports? LAX would look real cool, but I don't know if it would work wit the scale of SC4 cities....

Anybody else think that airports shold have a regional effect instead of a city effect? (Hint, hint Maxis if you're reading this, put that idea in SC5!)

Hmmm ...
I'd like to see any type of desalinization plant.
It should produce a lot of water and have its own pollution filter.
Anybody know of any real-world plant locations?

I'd also like to see the Kremlin ...

EDIT: Oh, yeah. For those requesting C&C and/or Generals structures, I will be doing that as soon as I have the time to learn to successfully manipulate the BAT - early summer most likely.

More buildings that I request is the Southwark Tower in Philadelphia, PA(there used to be 3)(there is an extreme lack of growable R$ buildings), and The Chase Centre in Wilmington, DE (there are alot of good small scale high-rises there, go to www.skyscrapers.com and search for Wilmington, DE). I am still in request of the Marcy Projects in Brooklyn in case anyone wants to consider that.

For those Buffalo architecture fans out there, how about a Buffalo-style two-flat?

Some silly requests:

* A ploppable gay bar. Brings in the creative class to a lower income area, gentrifying the area. However, when you first plop it down, it attracts protesters. Maybe take a regular urban-style two-story retail building, black out the wondows, add some subtle rainbows, and put up a sign that reads The Manhole or Buddies or something similar.

* A Kim Jong Il statue.

Kim Jong II lol.

We also need some Lenin statues and poster/billboard props to recreate the Soviet Bloc!

Also, maybe a statue of Pol Pot would fit in on some of the starving, neglected SimCities!

I think that it would be really cool if someone designed the most historic professional football stadium in the world: Lambeau Field!

lambeau-field-nav2.jpg
Packers.com: Lambeau Field Info

Lambeau Field is the longest continually occupied NFL stadium today (since 1957); And is the third longest active homefield tenure in all of pro sports! I live in Green Bay, so if anyone needed pics of the stadium I could get them for you.

Dunno about the UN (a good idea BTW), the WFC is being done by Lord_Quillian2, and the Citicorp Center is sounding famaliar but I don't know for sure.

Seconded, Most Definately

I will renew my request for Portman Road Stadium, Ipswich, home to Ipswich Town Football Club, and host of several home games for the England Under-21's and England international football teams...

I haven't lately been in the mode of actually requesting buildings, but here are a few I would like to see in the game.  Perhaps I might come around to these someday, but I'd like to air them out in case someone else has interest.  These are all from Albany, NY:

19albanyskyline.jpg border=0

  • At left center, the Erastus Corning Building (the tallest in New York State outside NYC, if I'm correct)
  • The four identical buildings which compose the Empire State Plaza, as well as the Egg theatre complex (the bowl-shaped structure at center)
  • The New York State Capitol Building (below)

Any takers?

How about the only building to survive the Great Chicago Fire? The Chicago Water Tower. It used to be a pumping station so it would be cool to be one in SC4. Any takers? Maybe as a desalinization plant that Equinox was asking for?

How about the National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame in Hayward, Wisconsin? Definitely one of the world's most unique buildings. Yes, those are people standing in the muskie's mouth. It could function as either a museum or a tourist trap. It has some other more ordinary buildings on site as well. See www.freshwater-fishing.org for more photos.

good news for you: Julliard is part of the Lincoln Center Complex included with the game; you already have it.... you do need to add Radio City Music Hall and the Museum of Modern Art to your list of must haves for NYC. The Ed Sullivan Theatre, home of David Letterman would also be good....
