Sun Valley Times

Sun Valley constructs International Airport

Today Sun Valley opened the doors on it's new International Airport. Advisors predict that the commercial sector will greatly expand 5-10% because of it. The airport has almost all of the major carriers already. The area is surrounded with commercial.

 

 Sun Valley begins limited ferry service

 Today Sun Valley began it's new ferry service. Right now it's restricted to running from downtown to the port but the transportation department states that it will begin offering surrvice to all over the region.

 

 Sun Valley releases new satalite and transportation maps

 Sun Valley has recently released stalite and transportation maps that the mayor had been holding back for awhile. These updated maps will help drivers navigate the city. The city councel wants to thank thejersydevil for his great transportation map too!

 

(please excuse the unfinished freeways, they stick out like a sore thumb with the map mod).

The airport is nice, but I think it's a bit big for the region.

@ your_adress_here: Thanks for the comment!!The airport's large because it's the only international airport in the region. Look at Atlanta, Georgia for example. Only 416,000 people (in the city limits according to the 2000 census) and it has one of the largest and the buissiest airport in the world. It's also a huge Delta hub.

Wow that airport is great!It has to be large,becauseits hard to build an airport in Alaska.To much $$$.

Sorry I haven't been commenting, it's been like rush hour at school with our Winter Carnival that the student council HAD to organize...Anyways, it looks great. I agree, the airport is beautiful, but a little bit too big.

Hey bobinator, Sun Valley is really coming along! I've been out of the loop for a while and haven't been able to keep up with how you all are doing. Can't wait to see what else you have up your sleeve!!!

Update time- pretty busy right now so only before and after pictures.

Sun Valley Expands to the north! The new development has moved in about 20,000 new sims to the area! Current population is hovering around 170,000.

I like the way your region is laid out.  About the airport, I think it can be the right size or the wrong size depending on how big your region is going to be.  Right now it may look big, but if you're going to have a large region, then I could see why you'd want to build the airport right now.  Either way, it looks great!
