    Your_address_here: Thanks for the compliments! Always nice to see someone enjoying the CJ.

    kingofsimcity: For sure! Just PM me the name of your character, profession, and where you would like him or her to live.  Also, tell me if you want to do your own roleplays or if you would rather have me do it for you.

    Official Press Release from Sallam City Hall:

    It was in the best interests of Sallam, and Riviera in general, to establish this trade agreement with the growing region of Thistlewood on the Oregon coast. Our good President Nedal has already established a near-monopoly on the agricultural markets and is moving toward a future in retail. The future of co-operation between Thistlewood and Riviera is bright, and this new deal can only improved both recipients.

    Mayor Thom Yorke, of Sallam.

    Time for a new update! Thank you everyone for your comments! On to the update:

    <ahttp://img113.exs.cx/img113/2724/seaport20079os.jpg align=baseline>

    - The new seaport, officially called the Brickell Seaport, has been completed. Many thought it would be bigger, but the President released a press conference saying, For now, what you see infront of you is more than sufficient. The seaport is state of the art, modern facility.  Ofcourse, as the region grows, we shall expand the seaport.  We will make sure to keep land east and west of the seaport open for future expansion. He also went on to say that the Mayfina Seaport will not be closed for the time being because alot of cargo still goes through it.  Until it becomes more expensive to run it than to shut it down, the President said, the Mayfina Seaport will remain active.  However, companies have already began sending their ships and goods to the Brickell facility as expansion continues to shift away from Mayfina.

    <ahttp://img113.exs.cx/img113/6072/rivieraelectronic20076vv.jpg align=baseline>

    - The construction of the seaport has already had effects on the city.  Opposite of the Black Forest, the Riviera Electronic Technology Company, one of the biggest Rivieran companies, has constructed its new HQ.  This led to a heavy expansion around it, which, as of right now, features low income housing. That is expected to change soon however, and Brickell as a whole is expected to experience rapid growth in both population and housing prices.

    <ahttp://img113.exs.cx/img113/7061/dupontresidence20074dm.jpg align=baseline>

    - Moving out of Brickell and into Sallam, we will be highlighting a new Rivieran resident: Mr. Dupont. Owner of a car customization shop in Sallam, Mr. Dupont has the most successful car shop in the country.  He has a beautiful, $900,000 apartment in the Lake Point Apartments that Mr. Yorke's RHF Real Estate furnished for him according to his taste.  So all you big ballers of Riviera, you may have hot cars, but they are not hot enough unless they have that trademark Dupont customization!

    <ahttp://img172.exs.cx/img172/9711/tomcaoshouse20077qv.jpg align=baseline>

    Mr. Tom Cao, mayor of the Goldenrod Plains region, has just bought a fully furnished penthouse in Olberding Architecture's The Mercury building.  He paid a cool $1.6 for the penthouse and the furniture.  He especially enjoys his huge balcony which overlooks nearly the entire city of Mayfina, which is knocking on 100,000 residents!

    <ahttp://img172.exs.cx/img172/8603/oceans2720077xn.jpg align=baseline>

    - Last saturday night in Ocean's 27 yearly Platinum Plus Party, an altercation between Mayor Yorke and Mr. Trent's security guard spilled to the streets of Shorelane Boulevard before Mayfina Police split the fight up.  Mayor Yorke and Mr. Trent themselves did not get involved themselves, but it was rumored that they encouraged their security guards to provoke the other.  Witnesses say that both were sitting on opposite sides of the VIP section.  The President released a statement stating his disgust at the actions that took place and said that both men needed to have better control over the situation.  Other people spotted at the party were: Cole Zenith, who sat alone and refused to be talked to....Mr. Tom Cao, who was having a great time....Mr. Alex Funk, who tried to get into a political debate with Mayor Wood of Bollanne, who was having none of it....Mr. Logan Olberding, who had a little too much too drink and had to be escorted out for different reasons than Yorke and Trent! He obviously had a great time! Mr. Shank was also showed up after the Yorke - Trent altercation. Mr. Dupont also showed up, pulling up in a gorgeous, fully customized Mercedes CLS 55 AMG monster that turned more heads that Rivieran model Shawna Domina.

    That a****** Mr. Trent! I'm glad I've got Shanks on my side, but I'm also sure that T-Bone and Rex can easily take down those poodles he calls security guards. And I heard Olberding has a little too much fun last night down at the club...

    Coming up out his recent slump (lack of time to post, lol), Cole Zenith bought two glossy black Cadillac Devilles to be customized by Mr. Dupont. A few specifications include the stretching of the cars into limousines, armour plating, bullet-proof glass, crushed velvet seats, chrome rims, the works for comfort and security. These two cars commemorate Zenith's new (UNTRACABLE) ties to a certain group Italian of men.

    May I say, wow on the updates I've missed since I've last posted. Great work Nedal, and I like the new style of updates!

    Annoucment from Mayor Wood of Bollanne during Bollanne Council meeting in his mansion:

    I must express my concern about serious incidents between politisions recently. I have decided and so should you (if you wish) not to attend any more parties which surve up alchol and have Mr Trent and Mayor Yorke there until there argument has passed, if ever. Also beware of Mr Funk. He is attempting to slip you and me up and has already done so to Mayor Green and others. Please keep what I just told you between the Bollanne Council Board.

    Compromises Comments:

    This City Journal is inproving even more with more characters and a new sea port increasing devolpment. There should be demand for a bigger airport soon.

    Unfortunately, Mayor Wood, Riviera, and Rivierans, are people who live for the thrill of the night. We love life and everything it has to offer. While the escalation of emotions between Mayor Yorke and Mr. Trent did result in a nice little brawl, we cannot ban them from having a good time.  Let us just hope that we dont see such incidents again (although I hight doubt that will happen, this is a rowdy bunch!)

    Letter from Mayor Wood to all higher members of the Bollanne Council:

    Dear Sir/Madame

    I have anouced to withdraw my decision about not attending parties. This has had to be done due to the media finding out. Also it seems to have got out wrong. I said I will not be attending any more parties which surve alchol and have Mayor Yorke and Mr Trent there. Not ban them from attending parties. Also it seems that the precident is hoping that it will not happen again (alougth it propley will) and that there should not be restrictions which look like it might. Alougth I am trying to get the police to be nearby during these parties. I hope this has not damaged my reputation much.

    Thank You
    Mayor Wood

    1st, press the insert image button (the one on the far right) and then put the links in the box labled URL, and also try putting the pictures on another image hosting site like Imageshack , and then the link you would use is the direct link to image, near the bottom.

    The city looks good, but why are the lights still on in the Mercury? Do the people in there want to see how much power they can take before the power system overloads?

    Great city journal! Nice stories and I like the involvement with readers. The only complaint is the picture size. Unless things have changed, I believe they have to be 800x600 or less. Nice job though!

    Not if you host off them off-site. For example ImageShack's limit is 1024x768, so if he hosts them there, the pics don't have to be 800x600. By the way, I just bought a Mercedes-Benz SL-600, and I plan on taking it down to be customized later this week, OK?

    Small update, mostly text. Thank you to everyone with the comments and compliments. They are much appreciated, keep 'em coming! Here we go:

    - The incident that happened Saturday night Ocean's 27 Club in Mayfina has become the talk of the town. While its not suprising to hear people talk about the celebrities of Riviera (Mayor Yorke, Mayor Green, Logan Olberding, Jeremy Shank, Alex Funk, Mayor Wood, Mr. Trent, Mr. Dupont, Mr. Cao, Cole Zenith,etc..) gossiping and spreading rumors (true or false), the fight that escalated to Shorelane Avenue between Mr. Trent's people and Mayor Yorke's people has been the talk of the town like no other subject before. It has even brought calls much publizied comments from Mayor Wood, even though, in all fairness, he was misquoted. This showed how the other side lives, and people cant stop talking. No one is quite as glamarous as this crew: Mr. Dupont can merit the success of his car customization to the fact that everyone wants to outdo the other.  The other day, Mayor Yorke was seen driving his brand new, 2005 Mercedes SL 600, fully customized by Mr. Dupont himself. Those Rivierians really like to live it up. This does nothing to solve the tension, however, between all of them. Ongoing fueds continue, and are only getting stronger. If anything, this should make it only the more interesting.

    - Mayor Green was reported saying that Cole Zenith has mafia ties and should be investigated immediately. Mr. Zenith adamently denies that his Italian friends are Mafia, claiming that they are in construction. However, there has been more than just suspicion around Mr. Zenith and where he got the money to fund his new flagship tower in Mayfina (still under construction). It is believed however that Mayor Yorke has been fighting to get Mr. Zenith to locate his HQ in Sallam, something that Mr. Zenith should consider because of the rapid growth rate in Sallam.

    - Finally, here is a satellite picture of the region as we know it, circa Year 2007.

    Look for me on Redrance Boulevard, with the top down, blasting some 50 Cent and Tupac Shakur. I'd like to see Trent match that, I'm the most pimpin' mayor/real estate tycoon Riviera has ever seen!

    - Today's tour takes us to the inland city of Bollanne:

    <ahttp://img40.exs.cx/img40/913/aerial320071ns.jpg align=baseline>

    - Mayor Wood doesn't have the easiest job in the world, trying to win investment to his inland city by investors instead of them going to the coastal cities of Mayfina, Sallam, and Brickell. He has been doing a superb job, however, as the population of Bollanne, despite not being connected to I-10, continues to show the 2nd highest growth rate in the region, after Sallam. And unlike the coastal towns, very little drama happens here. Quiet, country living they say. Mayor Wood himself, who voiced his displeasure at the now infamous Ocean's 27 incident, takes after the city he takes care of.

    <ahttp://img40.exs.cx/img40/2889/dewerld20079wk.jpg align=baseline>

    - Just because they have a quiet city doesn't mean they don't know how to enjoy their time. Sam Watson, a local resident of Bollanne, has opened up the De Werld Restaurant, a hip, trendy spot to be seen in Bollanne. Mayor Wood is often seen having a late dinner here after a hard's day work. It is so good, in fact, that it was rated the Number 1 restaurant in all of Riviera for the Year of 2007.

    - The biggest news to come out of Bollanne is the construction of the Bollanne Church. A majestic design, it is the work of both, Olberding Architecture and RHF Real Estate. Even Mr. Trent had something to do with it. A truly genius piece of work, this gorgeous building towers over the rest of Bollanne. Here are some dusk time shots of this unbelievable building.

    Letter from Cole Zenith to Mayor Yorke and the government of Sallam.

    Mayor York of Sallam,

    I am pleased to announce the board of Zenith Global Banking has chosen your town for our flagship bank tower because it brings many opportunities to the table for both Zenith Global Banking and the town of Sallam. We look forward to the expansion of our frontier as well as the support we will offer to the community.

    News

    Bayview accounts mature to the highest rates in any bank in the region.

    A small black jet manages to land on the airport runway baring the logo Zenith Enterprises It was immediately escorted by a landing party to a nearby hangar. Following the landing a small fleet of armoured cars left the airport going to the separate branches of ZGB. These armoured cars were escorted by the Black High Security fit Cadillac EXTs.

    Cole Zenith contacts Jeremey Shanks on the grounds of his continued defamtion by Mayor Green, seeking council and what steps if any should be taken.

    I have been following this CJ sice about the first 7 posts and never found the time to post. Now that the story is getting interesting i wanted to let you know, nedal, that this is the absolute best CJ i have ever read. A little sea-side town to a commercial and residential hot-spot is a pretty hard transition and you have made that transition flawlessly.
