Hey there John!

I don't even want to know how long it took you to tally up all those posts! Patience, I guess... but I don't have any! 3.gif I still truly wish I had come visited here a lot sooner than I did, but for all of the excellent work that I've seen here, it was worth it. Can't wait for the next project to come along.

Whoa, that's quite a storm! Nice shot.

Of course you are! See you later

    The Big Z

Yep lot's of snow and my neighbor on the other side of the street is even worse! Probably due to the wind I guess, the snow banks on either side of his driveway are already between 5 and 6 feet tall! Last time I've seen so much snow that early was about 15 years ago!

    Mikeaut1

    Hey Mike,

And about the "nice snowstorm", let's say that, "nice", was not the word I had in mind while blowing that *&??% snow away at 6.00 in the morning.... hehehehe...

    Well well well...

Congrats on the Trixies,! I see that my nomination message was displayed with your award at the ceremony. 2.gif

It's awesome to see you win the top CJ award! Not to mention the mosaic award, which is also impressive, what with every other CJ having very nice mosaics theses days!

Well, I was really hoping to write more, but sadly, I must go walk to school. At least it's only -8C!

Whew, just managed to read this wonderful Journal from page 1 to 134, been a hell of a job, and not even close to the end...! I think I broke my mouses scroll weel... Reading this whole journal has given me loads and loads of ideas, and given me the idea that just playing on totally flat landscapes isn't always more fun then in nice, hilly mountain areas. I enjoyed reading trough all the technical updates, which andlightend me about how to create nice, smooth slopes. They also thaught me about usage of natural overpasses and how to create great park areas. Congratulations about your Trixie-award, it is very well-deserved! Greetings,

Wow!  You remembered both of my posts from such a long time ago!!!   6.gif

Anyway congratulations on Trixie.  The Trixie of the year!!!  39.gif

Your CJ was just as realistic and educational as I remember back in the day.  It even gave me some form and function ideas for my SD back in the day.

Siberia in the 70's you say, well, never been there, and I sure hope that they have less snow these days!

But I can tell you that in my hometown at that same period we had as much snow.

Thanks for your always kind support Silur, much appreciated!

    purpledaddy

    Hi purpledaddy,

Hehehe.... don't be fooled by my statistic keeping, it's a simple matter of keeping an Excel file of the CJ, I started to keep track of the posters god knows why and before I knew it the file got huge! But it's fun to see all those names, great memories!

Wishing the best for you and your family for the upcoming holidays!

    -John

    sobol

Sobol my friend, as I said above, don't worry about AVR sliding in the page count, what matters is the memories we have of this experiment! And as far as I'm concerned It has been a great ride!

Have a great holiday period my friend!

    -John

As mentioned in almost every answer, I wish you all the best holiday period, may, for some time at least,  peac

Bonjour John. D'abord félicitations pour le prix Trixie, c'est vraiment de grand mérite.

I had been very busy with my studies and exams the last couple of months, so I only get to write now. And now I even don't know what to say... it's simply awesome. That large mosaic on page 160 pefectly shows the amount of details you put into your work, it's fascinating to go into it. once again Especially when you haven't played in a while and the things you maybe used to do aren't that evident anymore... well, I'm getting nostalgic. So I understand that was it from AVR? I think there's no better was to end a CJ than with those impressive mosaics.

Je te souhaite joyeux Noël et une bonne année 2008! Take care!

    - Phil

I think your CJ deserved my first post : the Trixie award that got me in there was deserved too, I guess !

AVR is great and as so many told it before me, your terraforming is your best talent, eventhoug you're also very good at designing, building, forecasting, etc.

Keep up the good work and keep on inspiring newbies and newcomers to SC4 and ST !
