@joshriddle: I love Fort Worth! Its always a fun place to walk around. Yeah Plano is big but the skyline is flat. It would be so cool if they built something a bit bigger, but I like the town how it is. Beautiful Dallas and Fort Worth are a short drive away... Have you been to a Cowboys game at the new stadium yet? I heard it awesome, haven't made it there myself yet.

Oh and the Trinity River is awesome, except when it flood (have to admit even then its kind of cool)

lotta' Texans round here! I'm form El Paso, Tx (it was mentioned long ago, but it's worth mentioning again) it does not have the biggest skyline, but from a historical, and architectural point of veiw, it is one of the best... it has the first reinforced concrete hi-rise, along with some beatiful examples of Art Deco, then there are some horrible "box like" hi-rises form the 70s-80s... most of the old city was built by Henry Trost, perhaps the greatest architect of the south west, who for some reason is still pretty unknown, aaanyywaaayyy to the pictures!

Present day Skyline, Isn't that black block just lovely next to that Art Deco masterpiece?!

Just one more pic... guess who was the architect behind this prairie school house?

Frank Lloyd Wright..... NOO! Henry Trost, once again... this was his house.! brilliant!

Here's a picture of Sheffield in Yorkshire, UK. It's not my city, but I have lived there before and hope to do so again soon. It's the only place I've ever really felt 'at home'. It doesn't have many skyscrapers (or any, from an international perspective), but I love the compact and contoured city centre.

DSC00382.jpg

This is the view from the front of the train station. In my opinion it's probably the best 'arrivals' view of any UK city that I've visited by train (which, admittedly, isn't that many)

The building on the right with the rose emblem is Sheffield Hallam University, where I studied, and the shiny ribbon of a water feature is meant to represent Sheffield's heritage in the steel industry. The Steel City is looking mighty fine in some places these days.

I was going to go up one of the seven hills and take a wide shot of the city, but I had other stuff to do that day and it was turning dark and grey once I'd finished.

Birmingham, AL... Not a huge skyline, but has SOME density with UAB's campus. Metropolitan population is over a million, but the city's is under 300,000 I believe...

I don't understand why Perth (and Chicago, too) continues to ruin their waterfront with highways and massive roads! Sure, it sounded like a good idea way back when they constructed it, I'm sure, but I think there comes a time (now!) where it has to change. It's so detrimental to recreational space with great potential, and could even allow development to inch a little closer (Chicago is good, but that field there in Perth looks a little too generous).

Hahaha, there are people here that complain that there isn't enough grass in the CBD area!! They say that the new waterfront redevelopment will reduce the open space, and that people will not be able to take walks (funniest argument I have ever read)

This is the proposal at the moment:

Well, here is my home town Park City, Utah. Home of the #1 ski resort in north America, Dear Valley. Also two ski resorts in the top ten, Park City Mountain Resort and Canyons. (Not The Canyons, just Canyons. I have no idea why.) Well anyways here it is:

Historic Main Street:

Bit of a late response but. What many people forget is that Langley Park (the field) is used as a temporary airfield when we have the Red Bull Air race series here. It's also packed on Australia day for the fireworks :P
