There you go.  This is in Western Pennsylvania, for anybody who cares.

Hmm.. So I'm guessing that plane is pre-September 1st 1939? Cuz that's when WW2 officially started..

Actually, my mistake...My uncle lives near Warren PA, and from there we went to somewhere near Elmira, NY where this group of guys owns and maintains a couple of Historic planes.  This is in New York State.

@hello_SC4...Yes it was manufactured in the '30's when Germany was not supposed to be building war machinery as an observation plane.  It was really a prototype for a fighter plane.  It became the Bf-109...notice the similarity of the Tail and body.

Maybe. I am 67, so maybe your grandpa and I are of the same generation.

But that's a good thing...It has been my experience (being middle aged...47 in 14 days) that some of these guys who've been around the block once or twice....this is not their first rodeo, so to speak,  might have a word or two of advice that might actually be worth something.  No need to re-invent the wheel, there are a few fellas out there who have already figured it out and could save you a step or two if you just listen.

LOL, That's so true! I'm 26 and my dad is 72, so I really dig what your saying Big. Wisdom comes with experience...but in my dad's case, ears open mouth shut only applies because even if I open mouth, he's too deaf to hear a word I say! 17.gif
