Any suggestion appreciated... On the second pic, the two hsr trains are actually one hsr split up automagically where the commute paths split

I don't understand this. I regret to say that this might not be possible although some people said something else. At least, I can't explain that.

I also wonder why monorails can use the rail tracks if the monorail speed on roads is set to 200, but not if the speed on rail tracks is set to 200. That doesn't make sense...

I dunno what to think either. Anyway, I am already tweaking major stations to act as switch point for monorail as well. I am wondering what other "features" would be revealed by them

Tweaking stations successfully I found that "data view" traffic is shown correctly, station usage data is correct, however querying a specific rail track does not show usage for mono. Moreover, commute path arrows tend to take shortcuts "through air" at certain turns of the rail track. Is there any information available on exemplars, cohorts or whatever that influence the behaviour of track query calculation and commute arrows?

I have found 0x6be099021-26 in simcity_1.dat, but that's not so much

@Medvednic-There is a beta on the STEX now. That's probably as far as the project will ever get, because the original creators of the mod have been MIA for some time now.

@Olasz-Sweet! A HSR to Rail conversion. Now I'll be able to actually use HSR.

For some reason, the number of commuters on my HSR leaving one city does not match the number of commuters on the same track in the connecting city (1500 leaving one city, but when I change to the other city, only 150 show up). I've tried replacing city connections and stations, and running the simulation for a really long time, but nothing seems to change. What's up with this?

Does anyone agree with me that the HSRP is so so much more of a crucial development for sc4 than the rhw project? Shouldnt it be the-next-big-thing-after-the-NAM? Its just saddening for me to see that something so unequivocally radical for SC4 is seemingly losing steam (no pun intended) to a transit mode that i feel serves almost the same purposes as the highway. I just have to voice out that this project cannot die off. its just too important to die off. I hope the creators understand that there are so many supporters looking up to them. Rly hope they surprise us 4.gif

Agreeably I was more excited about this mod than with the new NAM. Being a transportation freak I would like to see more and more transportation options becoming available. The HSRP was a big step, while the new NAM didnt have much new to offer. I hope that they keep chugging away at this one!

BTW is it good for commuting inside the cities with plenty of stops? or just make a few stops and use it so my Sims will be able to cross cities fast (like the monorail)?

It's best for the second use. EL rail is still better for the first one. My one gripe about it is that the grade tolerance, while realistic, is too low to be very practical in SC4. That's why Olasz's rail to HSR transition is going to be so useful.

So, use it to enable my Sims to cross cities fast, that means fewer stops.

btw how much faster it than the monorail?

OPIQ, what IT is asking - IS THERE GOING TO BE ANOTHER VERSION (not shouting)

as far as I can tell IT, the BETA 1 is the only version, hopefully when RL lets the programmers of this mod go, a newer version will be released.

what actually still needs to be done? I have had the mod installed for a while now, and as far as i see it, it works fine and all we really need are a few more stations to add some variety.

there are nice mono stations available on the stex that can be used with the HSR

from my part I haven't completed to add all the udated paths (parts of the rail y-stack are still known to be missing)

also, i haven't obtained permission from simgoober and ill tonkso to include their stations modded in the next beta release

That's great Olasz. Even better is that people are actually using it.

About the permissions issue with releasing modded stations with the mod. Obviously people are going to want every station on the STEX modded to accept monorail traffic, which is simply not possible. You could include a tutorial for people to change the stations themselves.

And what's that in the top right..... Oh....My...God......it's..it's..GLR on street.
