Actually, I think a nice beer goes better with lasagna, but if you must drink wine, how about a nice sharp Chiani Barolo or if you want something gentler, a nice Florentine Barbara?
I knew you had an interesting answer! 44.gif

BTW, I'm sharing this with you. Taken yesterday morning.

That's a nice looking leaf, zmveliger.

You know what, with testing this week, I might actually get ahead on my homework.

@vidioman : be careful, strange beasts are lurking in ventilation unit these days... Roof junk has a elaborated jungle of fungus, bacteria...

Or, maybe.... legionairres...... 6.gif (I spelled it wrong30.gif) I already know about the ventilation monkeys. Hi, folks. ST is currently (Tuesday, October 25, 2005 15:34:01 EST) off the air, so I can't get your images. I am working from mail notifications and may annotate this later.

@zmveliger: Is that a Leaf by Niggle? Well, what do you like with your lasagna?

@hym: A head? Have you been reading MacBeth?

@Compromise: Don't worry about the alcohol. Even guest service is overridden by the autosystem. The Guiness is dealcoholized. Glad your are BATting along.

@vid: So your rolled your r's. Otherwise seems OK. Have you seen the movie The Blob with Steve McQueen as the teen hero? Imagine meeting one of those in the duct work?

ST is still down at Tuesday, October 25, 2005 15:39:42 EST so I'll save this for later.

Nope.  Actually, the reason I might get ahead it because this is testing week and that means the homework load is lighter.  I already have Geometry and Bus. Math homework for the week done.9.gif44.gif

@vidioman : well, in French it's legionnaire. Is it the same in English (check in a dictionary if you're not sure)? Even if I'm a biologist (kids, don't do that!!), I don't know the ventilation monkey species. Do you have a sample, a picture to show me? What is the scientific latin name?

I don't have a picture. They cannot be photographed. And they're too cool to have a latin name10.gif

Just be glad they aren't in the soup of the day. Which I'll have. So long as it doesn't have mushroom.

Hey, hey! It's conversation day. Keep on folks, this is what this thread is all about.

@ hym: Adtually, it was MacDuff that got the head (MacBeth's). Sorry, I know that was lame, but I was feeling illiterary. I am glad you are getting ahead of your work. What do you do to submit your homework? Mail?

@zmveliger: Leaf by Niggle is a story written by J.R.R. Tolkien. If you aren't into twentieth century English literature, you probably don't know all the stuff he did besides Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit. Canadian reds these days tend to be pinot noire varietals, and so are mostly clarets. Some quite good. I have had some really good Oz and SA wines as well as some from the Iberian peninsula. Other than French, I quite like many Italian wines, but some of them tend to be little better than grappa. Originality? You bet. Original work and thinking is just great. I can't think of why you would feel otherwise. Enjoy your Guiness {dealky'd as requested}.

@vid: Yes, there really is(was?) a Steve McQueen. In addition to the Blob, which was a very ingenue role for him he also starred in The Great Escape. He made several other films.

    @ MsD: Welcome back, Deb. Enjoy your Jack and coffee. Don't hold your breath on the BSC group but they do a good job. Did you get my mail on the missing freight trucks? As I have it right now, that lot is a black hole. Labour in but nothing out. {Oh, and how did you manage to double post this? I got two e-mails.}

@ Compromise: Well decorated? Well, maybe, but the more important things are laurels. For volunteering to be a part of the help crew, I vote you The Grass Crown, which is only give for saving a Legion.

@Leech10: The zukes are trying to capture a ventilator monkey? They should settle for hanging on to Vid.

WOOOOOO! I'm attacked by everyone! Am I such an easy target? Doesn't matter, I can sustain that3.gif Here comes my reprisals...

@N_O_Body: I have a great deal to learn on English literature. I have to confess than I'm almost ignorant despite the fact that I'm reading a lot. You probably know why... Michel Tremblay, Gabrielle Roy, Jacques Godbout, Sol, Jacques Poulin, Guy des Cars... Almost everything is in French... A few exceptions are biology-ecology books (statistical analyzes, freshwater invertebrates, journals...) and sci-fi (Timothy Zahn & Micheal Stackpole). Pinot noir: I'm not a fan that c

@MsD: yesterday I had 7-8 errors like that and 2 double posts. Don't feel too bad about it. I hope this one... About BATing, yes I really like helping people with their projects . You can visit kevinman4404's thread about his Egypt villa to have an example. I prefer following one project at time, but following it very closely. If you want to be my next 'target', I suggest you to begin a thread in the BAT open discussion section.

    I just might do that.
I need to get over this flash back I am having right now though.  All this talk about BAT and BATing has caused me to to flash back to when BAT stood for batch or batch file.  N_O_Body will deffenetly know what I'm talking about.
I used to be the Queen of bat file creation, I even had several published in computer magazines such a PC World.

@Compromise: I'll be decorated next monday, that's for sure! Halloween is coming fast....3.gif3.gif3.gif I have to agree that BAT tutorial inc. would not been really appreciated on the STEX, especially because there's no mention of the 1.2-1.5 squashing factor (N_O_Body is a specialist on that issue, he has been brutalized on the STEX because of that).

Thats nice, yes there is a warning not to uploadit on the end of the tutorial.

Hi folks. Good discussion today, too. Let's keep it going. Current topic seems to be BATs and history of *.bat (remember those?).

@ Rymac91: V8 served just above blood heat. You like hot V8? You should have a chat with Fairlane 500 if you really want to see a hot V8. If you are having writer's block on your CJ, try sitting down at your HTML editor or whatever you use for composition, start a new document and type in the word The. You can't resist typing something after that, now, can you?

@Compromise: You are most welcome. Anything else for you today?

@ hym: Interesting cycle. Why 9 weeks? It seems like a bit over two months. Do you school all year?

@zmveliger: Attacked? Aren't you a little oversensitive? My Tolkien reference was rather arcane, and I was hoping your would be interested enough to go find the unpublised works volume. Of course, I haven't read most of those French (Quebecois) authors either. The last serious French novel I read was The Vicomte de Bragelonne when I was still in high school (in translation) which was several volumes. {For those who need the reference, the first volume is often published separately as The Three Musketeers.} About pejorative remarks on the STEX list: I always consider the source. I don't believe any of the remarkers have ever been here. After the first session, I just stopped looking at those threads because of a certain lack of patience with the crummy criticism. Definitely not constructive and one of the gentlemen called me a $%&^!. I have probably forgotten more about computers than most of them will ever know.

@MsD: Shhhh, Deb, you'll date us both. Do you remember type 77 sorters?

    @Compromise: Rome? Virtually or actually?

I just can't believe that... Did you visit the STEX lately? You should... (maybe not) I saw something that make me fall of my seat (does the expresion exist in english or is this a bad direct translation from french?)... Anyway, we'll leave too great people and let's talk about more interesting things...

@MsD: I hope you'll become the BAT Queen in a SC4 perspective (but stay away of self proclaiming!). If you start a BAT thread, let us know. If you need some ideas, I'm sure we'll get you very original ones.

@Compi: Rome... Will your first BAT be the Saint-Pierre-de-Rome cathedral? That's something original: church is an underepresented category, the building is nice and well known... Difficult? You should aim high to improve...
