Broken Arrow,OK; suburb of tulsa (my hometown)

1. Downtown is rebuilt

2. North BA gets overbuilt and becomes a slum.

4. The railroad track that runs through town is replaced with a monorail.

5. BA gets it's own amusement park, arena, and convention center

6. BA gets it's own skyline.

7. Many of the city's older neighborhoods are replaced and forgotton.

9. advanced transportation methods replace the existing highways with some futuristic network of clean and efficient mass transportation

Tulsa,OK Metro area

1. Tulsa loses its last oil companies to Houston. This has been going on for years.

2. The Williams Companies (a gas company headquartered in tulsa) goes bankrupt

3. North Tulsa (currently a slum) is either revitalized or destroyed

4. The highways surrounding downtown are demolished.

5. Downtown Tulsa is revitalized with new development including new skyscrapers

6. the malls in the city are closed down and/or demolished

7. South Tulsa becomes a sprawling slum.

8. The oil refineries are torn down.

9. The city councillors finally stop bickering about every single little thing that comes up in a meeting. The current city council is infamous for it's annual fights walkouts, although the fighting has already calmed down some.

10. Owasso, another sprawling suburb of Tulsa, goes into an economic recession and most of the buisnisess that are currently moving in will move out.

Outside Metro Manila, I will predicted, many proposals has a start up a new central business district on the entire Luzon Island. I may be in the province of Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon, Bulacan & Pampanga. All provinces will be compete the Metro Manila's skyline. The suburban community will be shrink up due on the skyline construction. All jeepneys are remove or not to be everseen anymore due on new mass transit. Many people they want a subway systems across the metropolis. Many proposal can make a construction of over 500 m tall skyscraper like in Dubai. Multinational manpower companies recommend for all applicant outside the Philippines a placement for a construction projects.

Here is my prediction:

In just a few years, Communism will completely fall, Fidel Casto will die and a new democratic government will be elected.

China will become a democracy on it's own, and become a world power, along with Brazil and India. The USA, China, and the UK have all proven that North Korea has WMDs, and suspect that they will be used soon, and a full scale invasion of North Korea, led by China, South Korea, the USA, and the UK takes King Jung Il (or whatever his name is) out of power. They allow the citizens to vote, and resulted that 86% voted to reunite with South Korea, creating the country of Korea.

China's new democratic government will accept the Kyoto Protocol, and major restrictions are put on smoke created by factories and other pollutants, air quality in Beijing improves dramatically.

The US will no longer be a world power anymore, but will not be a third world country, it will become what Canada is today, a country no one cares about that much.

In my state: New jersey,

There will be almost no more farmland, and almost the whole state will be developed, except mountanous areas.

In my city: Woodbridge, a somewhat suburb of New York City.

It will continue to grow out instead of up at a rapid pace.

The Arthur Kill and Woodbridge River will become less polluted, and by 2050, it will be so clean, that a beach will be made where it once stood, residents will be able to enjoy the undercrowded beach, for it will be another few years until the rest of NJ realizes they can go to this beach instead of the other overcrowded, overrated ones.

Also, the city of Red Bank, about 15-30 minutes from my home, will grow and be one of the biggest cities in the Northeast. It will be a center of culture, with many middle and high class residencies and buissineses.

Here's what I formed from rumors and negative specuations, and it's not happy and utopian.

2014- The UN falls, Terrorists are free to roam Africa and Asia. In order to maintain Homeland Security the United States initiates Martial Law.

2020- A large and very powerful Socailist Terrorist faction seizes the Russain government, creating the NUSSR. New United Soviet Socailist Republic. The EU begs the nations of Europe to unite under one flag untill the crisis is over.

2026- A corrupt president is elected in the US. He seizes all power from Congress and the courts, creating the ISA: Impirial States of America, which wastes no time bribing it's way into Mexico's goverment.

2027- Shocked by the USA's sudden change, the EU declares hostile status with the ISA. Seeing this oppertunity the NUSSR allies with the ISA.

2030- Again terrorist seize, this time in africa, taking nuclear missiles and threatening the NUSSR to keep them away. Seeing potential allies, the EU allies with the newly created AA: African Alliance.

2036- The ISA goes to war with Canada shortly after gaining complete control of Mexico and draining what little military stength it had and forcing it into northern battles.

2040- the ISA defeats Canada and commenses a rampage that goes into latin America. The NUSSR attacks Austrailia, taking it in mere months and shares the land with the ISA. The ISA demolishs almost all Original USA's skylines and build new ones, taller than ever before. The NUSSR are inspired and commense similer projects.

2044- The ISA ends it's rampage with most of SA conquered and concentrates fully on it's monsterous construction agenda with it's newfound population of almost 2 billion who are payed well. The NUSSR completes it less glamorus but still stunning new skylines.

The ISA and NUSSR form a sort of non-political rivalry much like the space race over architecture and technolegy.

2049- The ISA completes it's radical construction, turning out a fabulous set of skylines all

across the ISA. Life in America finally seems to go back to the semi-normal tate it was in before the collapes of the UN.

2050- The ISA and NUSSR declare that they are done killing, tensions lower and and an semi-stable peace drifts over the world. a nightmare spanning 30 years ends.

Again this is based off rumors and speculations and I apoligize to anyone who are scared or disturb by this. This should be viewed as a worst-case scenario of what might happen in the next few decades.

I found a problem with your prediction: 2026 is not a Presidential election year in the United States. Also, I could see the United States annexing other nations into itself (it's done it before - Vermont, Texas, Hawaii) but I doubt they would ever change the name, even if the government does start exhibiting imperial tendencies (if it hasn't already) and the President assumes absolute power. Aside from that, it's a pretty interesting theory.

That would be quite ironic! Russia and the USA...this worst-case scenario is certainly that (though, being an American, I wouldn't mind it! hehe), but Russia and the USA? That is optimistic! I would expect more of a backlash from South America. Not to mention internal backlashes from ISA citizens and non-Americanized immigrants/minorities. Martial law won't stop the rebel militias (which would QUICKLY spring up...call them the secondmen...sorry).

In Fresno (pop. ~500k)

• We'll prolly be part of a megalopolis stretching from Tijuana to Chico (SAN-SAN) along the I-5 corridor.
• A more fully integrated freeway system will connect most of California together.
• High-speed rail will prolly be in operation in limited areas (maybe maglev? *fingers crossed)
• Water will continue to be an issue, but less due to farms and more due to sprawl.
• California's population will be 45M + (low end) to 75M +

Nationally and Internationally:

• Regional Authorities will have more sway than national governments.
• Larger Urban Corridors will exist, but also many more edge city, exurban, new urbanism, suburban, planned communities will be around.  (For example, Vancouver to Portland; Boston to D.C.; Greater Atlanta; Miami-Tampa-Orlando;  DFW-San Antonio-Houston)
• This trend will also be international with Japan becoming even more integrated (yes, I do think they will overcome their negative population with moderate immigration reforms)
• More walls will be built world-wide in a trend of isolationism that will eventually cool as the global economy is shaken by sporadic deflationary shocks (18-36 mos) and a longer term global recession (5-7 yrs) in the mid-teens to 20s.
• But information tech will allow third-world countries (think Indonesia, etc) to bypass standard industrialization and grow their economies rapidly while the rest of the world is in recession.
• Global capitalism will become both more centralized in the hands of multinationals and also become more democratic as people literally vote with their dollars, yen, euros, etc. (lots of paradoxes, but alas, history is the story of them.
• Global trade and investment will spark new research into medicine, space, agriculture, industry, and tech...leading to more global prosperity but also more volatility in politics as new ideas have to integrate into old ways of thinking.
