Well - tntornadox - I'm done with the Sears Grand version 2 - I scrapped the previous one, and re-did it over again from scratch - here's a day pic of Sears Grand - I hope you like it.

I will be rendering this one tonight, and get this out before I leave on a weeks vacation this coming Thursday. (edit 4/23) It took 19 hours to render this model .... but the render did not turn out good - and I'll be busy this week (getting ready for vacatioh to render again) so sorry - I'll have to render this when I get back.

Robbie,  this has GOT to be one of the most realistic, top quality structures in simtropolis!  Tons of good stuff online and this will definitely be classified among the top ranks as well!

I found that the offer of shopping malls are very poor on the STEX, are you planning to do some of these temple of shopping?

To tntornadox - Render took 19 hours (long render job) - and the render didn't take - so I'll have to do the rendering when I get back from vacation - I'm gonna be too busy getting ready for vacation - just bought a new car and picking it up this week and new furniture is comng in this week too (we are remodeling our home). Sorry for the inconvenience.

To Mr. Beer - thanks for the compliment - I have a mall done - but have not and probably will not post - its called Blackwood Mall

Today as I was waiting for the new furniture to come, I decided to do a Circuit City  









This will not take long to render as the Sears Grand took 1 1/2 days - which I will render when I get back from my vacation.  This was something I wanted to do for myself.  I hope you all will like it.  Bobbo

Robbie!  I still cannot believe you did this just today!  WOW!  Nice version of Circuit City.  I have one in my city Cape Fear and will like to open up another branch on its' west side!   In fact, I have a growing commercial district in New Troy and this will fit well there!   You do great work!

Wow... You just whipped this out while waiting for the furniture guy to arrive?!

It's even got the red cement poles in front of the doors. Nice details... looks like one of the trash dumptsers is for recyclables.

Great night lites too... especially the shadows from the front doors.

The Sears bldg redone looks great as well. I like it a lot better than the other one.

Well, got back from my vacation/holiday this past Thursday and just finished up on the Circuit City and have uploaded - here's ingame pix of Circuit City

I will be rendering the Sears Grand this weekend sometime - and hopefully post this coming week - the rendering takes about a day for the Sears Grand.  I hope you will enjoy the Circuit City.

The Circuit City lot looks incredibly realistic and surprisingly beautiful for a department store.  Just love the combination of the parking textures and the great BAT.

First, thank you for the remarks/compliments/ratings on my Circuit City - what great appreciation from the members of Simtropolis!

Sears Grand finally rendered right - and it's now complete.  This will only be a ploppable lot - no growable unless there's a demand for it.  This is from a request by tntornadox - and I do appologize for taking so long - but it didn't want to render right a few times.  Here are ingame pix of Sears Grand 

ok - I hate to mention this -but- it's a 15x15 lot (I know ...) and holds 245 jobs.  The parking lot textures are from SC4jeeks and the flora is of course Simgoober's.  The links will be in the STEX when I upload this massive store.  Sears Grand is a new concept from Sears to compete with the Wal-Mart Supercenters, infact - Sears Grand are massive in size - bigger than Wal-Mart Supercenters and Super Targets.  I hope tntorandox and other's will enjoy this.  Any questions - pls leave it here in this forum or PM.  Thanks for your support - Robert

Nah, Sears Grands attract more of the affluent. Plus, since Sears is a relatively upscale store (Grand and normal), nothing bad will happen. That would be funny if its rivals, Macy's, Dillard's, and J.C. Penney would release hypermarkets.

I think you are one of the best batters on the stax. Your attention to detail is superb. One thing I have yet to see on the stax is a QuikTrip Convenience Store. Is it possible you could do one. Also is it possible to do a good Krispy Kreme. The ones on the stax is either too small, or is not what I need. Keep up the good work.

Hey Bobbo,

Haven't seen you around in awhile. Case of RLS? I have been playing with Transit Enabling some of your lots using the SC4 Tool, I got some to work and some didn't. Though I think I know why, I may have 2 copies of the same file and the game only keeps the last thing loaded. I am up-dating and cleaning my plug in folder so I have some bugs to work out still. If this works in the end I could TE any new lots for you and send them back for you to look at before release. I am by no means an expert at this. Just a thought. Keep up the awesome work!
