Hello everyone,

I have been coming to this website for a while now and I figured I would stop being so anti-social (both here and in real-life) so I'll say a little about myself. I am 15 years old and live in Maple Valley, Washington. I am currently in 9th grade and I am hoping one day to go to college (some type of engineering degree, but I'm not sure of specifics) and get a good job. I also want to say thank you and excellent work to those who keep the site going! Simtropolis is one of the best game-specific sites I have ever been to in a long time!

I'm 23 and a Web Designer/Computer Programmer for a small biz in Baltimore, MD. I enjoy all kinds of games, although lately I have had no idea what to play. Mainly it is a hobby for me, and so I like to look through games I missed during college (SimCity 4 was one) Currently I'm looking to buy my own copy of the game, but it seems like EA has discontinued all support.

I've enjoyed SimCity 4 a great deal, and it saddens me to think that in a sense EA has brushed it under the rug after only 2-ish years.

The last game I played was Dragon Quest 8. I might play Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, and maybe not.

New to this site, found it by searching for ways to help improve my city building skills which are not all that great to begin with.

Found alot of good stuff to get me started on the right path

As for me, I am a 28 yr old married man whos been hooked on SC since it first came out.

I bought SC4 back in 03 when it first came out but got agravated with it cause it seemed to be to hard to keep in the black...just recently renistalled SC4 and hopefully the SC4RH that I ordered off of ebay will come in the mail soon so that I can make use of the better highway systems.

 

One question I do have is I noticed that SC4 does not round the corners with the rail system. Will SC4RH fix this or does the NAM for transportation I found on this site fix the issue?

Hey!  Welcome to ST!

I don't have the original version of SC4, so I'm not entirely sure what you are talking about.  However, the NAM and just about all of the stuff that you can find on this site requires RH, so I suggest that you get it.

Regarding the rails...

when you build your rails, make sure you build them like this

rather than like this:

Hey guys, Just picked up simcity deluxe edition yesterday.
Found your site via the simcity4 official site, and have alredy downloaded the money lot I find it nice to start off with a few billion. Really helpful site, just going to check out the ominbus guides, as my cities look and are lame.

Hi everyone!

I'm David, and I live in Devon in the UK, although I used to live in Yorkshire. I recently got broadband and wanted to download some new stuff for SimCity, and this place seems to have everything and more!

 

I think I'll be visiting this site a fair bit!

 

I have already downloaded a couple of things from the site, although a few of them aren't working for some reason. I'm sure I'll find out a reason why somwhere on the site.
