I don't think I could stand living at a bording school. I have thought about what it'd be like... Your friends could come over to your dorm any time... Roomates... No parents.... I think I'll stick with normal school .

I have loved Sim City ever since the first version came out. I can't wait for the people at Maxis to turn SimCity into SimNation and expand

Hi,  I'm Matt, and thats me in the picture!  I live in Omaha, NE, which is spack dab in the middle of the USA.  Omaha in about a 50 mile radius contains approximately 850,000 people.  And for those of you who don't know, we have modern technology!  We don't ride horse and buggie anymore... haven't since the 1800's.

 

I am a Student at our local college.  I used to attend Iowa State University, but found it was FAR TOO expensive, so I moved back home.  My passion is Architecture (always has been since I was a child) where I hope some day to obtain my degree.  No matter what time of day you see me, I am usually looking at something architectural or talking about it.

Hello to all!

I just went back to page 32 and read all the new posts to this thread. It is definitely a popular topic.

 We all love to talk about ourselves and I am no exception:

 

 Just crushed my pinky finger today, between a roll shaft and a carted roll (only a fellow pressmen would understand).

Needless to say; it hurt quite a bit. My finger literally popped open on both sides. i can see what my finger bone looks like now.... cool.

 

I wrapped it tightly and applied presser. Then continued to finish my shift. No doctors necessary.

 

Sometimes the doctor is needed:

 

 Earlier this year; we had a pressman fall into the folder, while the press was running. His crew immediately called an ambulance. The EMT's arrived and picked up his many fallen pieces and carted them all off to hospital.

 He survived, but has no arms now.

Well, although I'm a long-time member here on simtrop, (Admins please stop reading ) I've never read the rules till today (As it seems I didn't hurt them yet ). Anyways, there I found the link to this thread here, and as I never introduced myself, here is some info:

 

I'm 20 years old, a music student soon (hopefully, entrance exam next may) and living in switzerland. For those of you who don't know, thats a small unconspicuous country in the middle of europe.  My favourite music goes from jazz to blues to reggae to rock over to spanish music.

I'm Stuart AKA skakid. Im 18 and live in a small town in scotland devoid of any music scene. Im into punk rock but mainly ska. also skapunk, oi and even some hardcore.

 

Im not that good at simcity4 and dont play it half as much as some people on these boards, but it is fun to play on occasion. My current region has a population of 300,000 and is going well.

I have been a member for a while also. I am a 39 YO mother and wife. My kids are DS22, DD21, DD18, DD5. I attended a community college way back in the dark ages for two years. I live in Paw Paw, Michigan. It is located in the SW corner of the state.  I-94 which is the main highway between Detroit and Chicago is about two miles from my house.The nearest large town is Kalamazoo. It is interesting to read the age and location of different members. Anyhow everyone have fun playing SC!

Cripes! No music scene?! I just visit my garage every so often. I rent it out to local bands, 3 times a week. There is usually something, kicking about in the garoj.

 

Ska is okay, i make it a point to check out the latest releases, etc.

 

My favorite music genres would have to be, BluesRock and Metal.
