First of kudos to the design/development team here a ST.. fine work! I've spent the better half of the day downloading for the site and testing. Thanks!

I'm 30 and I live in St. George, New Brunswick Canada... I'm in management for a timeshare/resort company. Also a Volkswagen enthusiast and part-time genealogist. Big Boston Red Sox fan! I like Sim type games because I can let go and drift into la-la land.

 

I have a few ideas for developments so perhaps I will try out my hand on creating some BATs. (Fenway Park, Quincy Market, Volkswagen Wolfsburg Auto Factory, ect.)

Hi All,

I have Sim City 4 and Rush Hour since a while, but I was not yet active in any boards as I didn't play much the game - not enough time.

I'm 26, live in Germany, full time working @ stalynx.com in the operating and in free times I'm working as DJ + administrating reggaeton-music.de This doesn't give me much time for sim city, but at least a bit

Wow, how could I overlook this thread!

Well, I'm 15, pupil (at an secondary school or high school I think it's called in english... anyway, in german it's a Gymnasium... with main focus on mathematics, physics, geography and economy) and do live in one of the most beautiful cities - Berlin, Germany's capital!

I've always been interested in architecture, I still build sometimes buildings out of Lego, and over my about 10 year older brother I came to SC and finally to the BAT...
Beside BATing and playing SC I also like walking through the city, taking photos and get inspiration for my buildings. For this, I do also several travels a year, for examples to Hamburg, Dresden, Leipzig, Rostock, Prague, Amsterdam, Vienna and many other beautiful european cities!

I don't really post here much. I've recently become re-addicted to SC2K because it loads faster and doesn't make my computer sound like its going to explode.

Anyway, I'm a student at the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!) studying Cinema Studies and Marketing.

Orlando The City Beautiful, FL has a lot more to offer than just Disney World. They are currently constructing two more office towers downtown, so hopefully our skyline will be a little more impressive, considering our metropolitan population is around 1.5 million.

Hi everybody.

my name is Noel, and I'm 29 Y.O. I'm involved in Computer Telephony. (by involved, i mean i sell it for a living. Yes, I'm a sales rep, but please dont hold that against me!!) I am originally from Dublin in Ireland, and now I live in a place called Trim, about 40 miles from Dublin. Small little town, but we have a really huge Norman castle from the 12th century. I am addicted to SC4K, and this site rocks. Welcome in the most friendly and inventive SC4 community. There's a lot of resources available here, from BATs to City Journal, tips and trick to discussion about the future of the game... I suggest you to visit the  Omnibus section. You'll find there a bunch of useful informations. The forum is full of tutorials and good advices but if you can't fin what your looking for, you can ask the community and I'm sure you'll get more answers than expected.

 

You can always Personal Message Compromise, he really like that because he can feel he is important . No seriously, he's the leader of the Simtropolis Help Squad and certainly a very good person able to help you.

I'm 22, from Poole, Dorset, UK. I'm training to be a transport planner so tend to get a bit obsessed with my junction desgins in SC4, it's almost revision (right?!?).

Kind of you. Saying welcome is probably inappropriate because your members since July (even before me!!!) I agree with you that the stuff available here is changing the game very much. Simtropolis is the reason why I reinstalled SC4 on my computer last summer, when I came back in Canada. After a few weeks, I decided to learn BATing, I joined the Simtropolis Help Squad... And now Simtropolis is the reason why I almost stopped playing SC4!!!

 

I'm sure you had and you'll still have a great time here!

Hello Everyone! I have been looking around the sight for some time but decided to finally register and be a member of the comunity. I thought it would be good to present myself and greet everyone... hope this is the right place.

My name is Vica and I'm a student at university in Iasi, Romania. I don't have much time for computer games as I would like but I spend much more time than I should playing Sim City and The Sims 2. Right now I'm a little bored with The Sims 2 and have come back to Sim City... an old favourite.

 

I know the game is a little old now but I am excited as if it is new because of all the things here on this sight!

Hi Vica,

The game is never old here. You will find that with all the building ands mods available to use here, Simcity4 is a whole new game. If you need some tips on Simcity4, there are some great articles in the omnibus . You can find a lot a useful mods in here  including the  Network Addon Mod (NAM for short) which adds tons of new transportation options to the game. If you have any questions, feel free to post them but remember to always  search the forums to see if that question has already been answered.
