Thanks for throwing us a bone with that pic.  It's beautifully done.  Very nice use of Peg's Pond Kit.  It makes me want to stray away from the big city developing and start working on the countryside again.

I have been watching this City Journal since the beggining. Excellent beyond all expectations. I love the realistic mix between, city, and country.

And welcome to page 60. Quite the milestone.

Hi Jeronij,

HOLY COW!!!!

66.02  What a great snapshot!  I would not think to place a parking lot between the homes like that.  For an apartment complex...yes, but for single family homes...no.  Jeronij, you do it and its the perfect thing.  It sets that snapshot apart from any others I've seen of residential areas.  Is it something that's done in Spain?  I've never seen it in the US.

66.03  What can I say?  The stairs...cool!

The ponds and waterfalls in the next set of images are picture perfect.  A great place to spend an afternoon with the kids.  And then the final image with the bridge in it makes that scene even better.

Every time you post an update I'm amazed at your attention to detail and the way you combine all of the elements together to create a thing of beauty.  And I wonder how can it get any better?  And then you post another update and I find out how it can.

You, sir, are an artist 29.gif

Respectfully,

rhino

Jeroni,

First. Your suburbs. Every detail's perfect, like Rhino said only you can think of putting some parking spaces between houses like that! And do it so it looks nice AND realistic! First time I see suburbs north-american style in SCR and it's gorgeous!

And the the falls! I've already said that you were an artist, and that I believe that you have a gift, and by looking at those last pictures you posted, particularly the last one! I can say that I stand by my earlier comments! You are not only gifted, you are INCREDIBLY gifted! That bridge just over those rapids!  This is beauty! pure and simple.

I'd like to comment more, but there ain't no words adequate enough to express the admiration I have for your work!

Amigo, you truly amaze and inspire me, again and again.

Take care

The way you have used the pegs pond kits is very creative, it looks very realistic and im considering implementing a similar idea for Brennt.

What can I say without being repetitive? You truly have a mastery over the intricacies of this game, with magnificent results. When October rolls around I'll back you for the Best City Journal Trixie.

Dude that's awesome...!

That park is just so beautiful, and that's only a proof to your skills with detailing.
The waterfalls are just perfect.

Thanks for the link to the stairs. Marrast makes really great lots and bats.
I use them as often as I can. Thanks to both of you!

I have spent almost two weeks catching up on your journal. It truly is amazing
how creative and artistic  you are. The detail you have put into the journal makes it  a work of *art* literally.
If I remember correctly, the *wild life dat.* came from a tree lot by Nexis or an early csx lot. I still have the lots but not the file dat. I suppose within one of those lots it could be found on the STEX.
Thank You for giving us this wonderful journal to look forward to everyday.

Hey, Jeroni.

I am so very impressed with the way the PEG Ponds Deluxe Edition look.  You've done a great job using them in your test pictures.  They look really good.  I like the way the blend in with your surrounding countryside.  I do have one questions, though, as I've yet to use the Ponds myself.  Is it normal to have such a large water vapor effect over the falls themselves?  It seems to be quite big.

Update 66
Costa Tramuntana
66.01  Well, it sure looks you are getting ready for a flood of residential building!  Hmm.  I do believe I see a HeritageTree in that circle at the station.

66.02  That is an impressive school you've built.  What are the four buildings to the right of the large school?   That is an interesting park/plaza in the middle of them.

66.03  Look out, world!  Jeroni is about ready to upause the Game!  < grin >  I do like your overview pictures.  It gives a great view of your whole area.

66.04 and .05  It doesn't take long to grow an area, does it?  Looks very nice, Jeroni.

66.06 through .08  You already know how I feel about your overview pictures.  What a nice view of this wonderful town.  Hmmm.  Do I see the opportunity for another bridge between the island and the mainland?

Ets Amunts
66.09  Very nice rural settings.  I like your use of dirt roads and trails.

66.10  What a tranquil setting at Jacqulina's Falls.  It would really be nice walking along the dirt trails and listen to the falls.  I could really enjoy that!

66.11 and .12  Very nice view of this rural area.  I do like the Citadel hulking above it -- rather forboding yet comforting somehow...

Another good update, Jeroni.  Thank you.

Residential Prviews
Hmmm.  Can we really call the Rincon de Vandy Chateau Reserve a Chateau given that Chateau is not native to Mallorca.  After all, don't we have to follow the rules of the EU?  < grin >  Nonetheless, I'm glad you enjoyed it.  We went through quite a bit of trouble to ensure that it would be a worthwhile vintage.  Of course, I myself tend to enjoy something a bit stronger like a good Spanish brandy such as Fundador.

E66.01  Now you've gone and done it, Jeroni.  You've caused my artist critical eye to be activated and, I believe you'll like what it sees.

This is a beautiful picture of a great looking suburb.  You have a very nice mix of housing.  The clinic seems a bit out of place but fits in very well with the park and surrounding trees.  May I ask where you get most of your homes.  I especially like the ones with the tile roofs.  The house in the upper left (white house with a reddish roof) with the turret is especially nice.

E66.02  What an innovative approach using parking lots for in front of your homes.  I REALLY like that idea.  It also reminds me of places I've seen in the states that have closely packed tract housing where space is a premium.

E66.03  Instead of A Fool On A Hill, we have a school on a hill!  Nicely done.  What is that nice looking building in the upper right portion -- three story cream colored with a reddish roof?  Also, where did you get what appears to be a deck with a table and chairs that I see in some of the home's yards?

E66.04  With some of the beautiful homes in this area, I'm glad to see you have a nice, large police station.   It looks nicer than the Guardia Seville stations I saw when I was in Franco's Spain.

E66.05  Please excuse me while I step out of my somewhat formal, aristocratic style...
WooHoo!  Now that's downright COOL!  Y'all put a good old Southern grocery store right there in the middle of town!  Piggly Wiggly -- Shop the Pig and Save!

E66.06  Another nice set of residential homes.  I do like your diagonal road.  You've done a really good job blending in the left over lots from placing it diagonally.

Various Pond Views
Thank you for providing views of your ponds at different zoom levels.  It does show quite well how they will look at different magnification levels.  Your teaser picture of the bridge over the water is beautiful.  I can imagine that the view must be stupendous from the bridge.

Thanks again, Jeroni, for so much beauty you've been bringing into our lives.

Regards,

Vandy

In the end you will see, You is you and me is me.

    Hey jeronji,

The update was one of my favorite I have seen yet, the new urban look looks truly magnificent. The pictures, especially 67.01, 67.03, 67.03, and 67.06 were my favorite, and I love the look of the suburbs, wow, jeronji. 67.07 looks like it will be a nice place to live once finished. Great work !

Insanely super-awesome. My favourite pics are 67.05, because it has my name at the top with my marina in the pic, and 67.08, which showcases excellent use of the pine trails. Great work Jeroni, and congrats on pg. 60!

Astounding, simply amazing.  I love the citadel.

BTW: I did some research.  That previously unknown wildlife.dat file comes from a CSX Woodland pack.  It's an old file , but a good one.

I work for the US Army. I go places, visit mean people, and kill them.

Winston Churchill is generall credited for saying something to the effect of: "People sleep soundly in their beds because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf". That about sums up my life, besides the "rough men" part.

Very nice suburban and rural areas.  I really like how the rock texture you've chosen matches with you're stone walls.  Very real.
