Jeroni, this is so beautiful, and like YAH said so beautiful you almost cry I agree! So much majesty in those mountains (Ets Amunts) that it's almost a sacrilege to build a city in that setup!

Man this is nature! Awesome and savage nature! I can see a natural park or reserve in that place! 3.gif

Sa Pusa does look great with the mod, but Ets Amunts REALLY takes my breath amway! 46.gif46.gif

Amigo, you will ALWAYS inspire me with your work! This is grandiose! perhaps grandioso in spanish?

Take care my friend!
and salutation to Bastian and your wife. 48.gif

My god, Jeronji, that is just errr..umm..I can't express my words..just amazing...48.gif. I can't wait to see some progress on Costa Tramuntana, that new area looks very interesting, maybe a naval port or a Cruise ship dock (I know you have had the navy in SCR before but I want to see more 1.gif). Anyways till later, amigo.

WOW! Jeronij, this this keeps getting more spectacular and amazing with every last picture! Keep up the WONDERFUL work! 29.gif

One question though... The CD (CycleDogg, correct?) mods that you used for your landscape -- you wouldn't happen to have a link to them on-hand, would you? They make your landscapes look so amazingly realistic, and I'd love to produce some cities with that realism effect. I searched all of CD's posts, and was unable to find anything. 15.gif

Again, keep up the marvelous work! 44.gif

O-H M-Y G-O-D !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm speechless!!! Except to say... I'm speechless!!!

You've totally mastered this game Jeroni! I can only hope my CJ over at SimCityCentral (Avalon) is half as good as this one.

I'm only actually up to page 5 of your CJ, but had to skip ahead to make my first post here these good comments... awesome work! And keep it coming, your work is motivation for us all!

Cheers,
Captain Mark

I would love to see a before/after Cycledog set of pics of Sa Pusa, if you could. Or side by side? Maxis should be paying you, and Cycledog, and PEG, and a number of the other top batters.... Thanks again.

I watched this CJ for a long time now and with every update I loved the CR region more and more.

But now after you used the new mod, I just need to tell you how much I love your work. I have never seen a region that's only 10% as good as yours! And this mod combined with your skills even make it better!

Can't wait to see some views of Sa Pusa in it's new look! So please post everything you have 2.gif

If I just had more time after work, family and the addictive World Of Warcraft MMORPG, I'd love to start a CJ myself trying to use all the inspiration you give me...

Well, keep up the great work here!!!

    Hello, Jeroni.

My sincere apologies for not being able to keep up with my replying to your numerous posts (which I thorougly enjoy!).  Real Life has a tendency to interfere with having fun.  Of course, the only reason I even work is to support my habits...

... having a roof over my head, food on the table, clothes to wear -- things like that!  < grin >

Nonetheless, I do want to comment on your wonderful posts.

    Japanese BATs
You do know that you are not going to get away with showing this great BAT without being asked where I can download it!  If you do have the link, would you mind sharing it? I've had problems being able to navigate the vairous Japanese sites and determining just what and where to download.  Thanks, in advance.  That really is a great BAT!

    Costa Tramuntana Parks
What a great view of this park, Jeroni.  I can really feel just how restful it would be to take a walk there.  I like your pedestrian bridge and I was able to find the prop pack for it!

    Great preview pictures, Jeroni.

    Regards,

    Vandy

    Hello, Jeroni.

    Continuing with my belated posts...

I am so impressed with CycleDogg's new mod!  It is fantastic!  And, I am not surprised at the beautiful way in which you've applied it in your test pictures.  I reall like your swtichbacks on the mountain road.  (By the way, swtichbacks are roads that either climb or descend a mountain by going some distance along the face of the mountain then sharply curing and going the opposite way along the face of the mountain.)  I love the way this mod drapes over the moutainscape.  It give it such a natural look with the trees and the flowers in the meadows.  You've done a great job with these test pictures.

    Regards

    Vandy

    Hello, Jeroni.

    Continuing my belated posts...

Oh.  My.  God!!  These pictures are INSPIRED!  Jeroni, this mod and your application of it are a piece of Heaven come to Earth.  I am so impressed with the way these previews came out.  It is a shame about the white beaches but with this beautiful terrain, I believe I could live without them.  It is gorgeous!  The meadow is just fantastic.  I can just feel how it would be to romp and play in it!  The pictures of the lake are very striking.  It is such a peaceful scene.  Even the train going through it looks right.

    Regards,

    Vandy

    Hello, Jeroni.

    Continuing with my belated replies...

The Cape Newham region looks very nice.  CycleDogg's Mod just makes everything look beautiful.  Great start on this, Jeroni.

A lighthouse would DEFINITELY look good on the cape.

The high cliffs and open fields look absolutely stunning!  This mod brings a whole new dimension to SC4!

Thank you for your wonderful pictures of Mallorca.  It has been a good many years since I've visited this fair island.  In 1973, as a sailor in the US Navy, I had the opportunity to visit Mallorca.  Most of the time was spent in Palma but I did get a chance to see some of the island.  I'm curious about something.  There was a shop in Palma called The Guitar Shoppe.  It was run by an ex-patriot American oil worker.  He sold musical instruments and supplies in the shop and ran a coffee house upstairs where local talent would come and play.  I actually played in the coffeehouse myself a number of times.  When I get the chance, I will scan my slides and send you a copy of them.

    Regards,

    Vandy

    Son Moix
What a wonderful new look to this town.  CycleDogg's mod has really added much to the area.  For me, one of the nicest addtions is the beautiful contrast between the rocky mountains and the great trees and meadows.

    Columbia River Region
What a wonderful view this is with the new mod.  It is so realistic-looking.  Great view.

    Hello, Jernoi.

    Continuing with my belated replies...

    Sa Pusa
Breathtaking!  These are just gorgeous pictures!  Everyone of them offer another beautiful view of this wonderful town.  I especially like how the little villiage next to the river looks with the new mod.  That is such a nice villiage with such nice people and a wonderful city leader...   < grin >

    Ets Amunts
It is such a shame that this area is gone.  It would have been so very nice to see it develop.  I really like the pictures you've shared.  The new mod gives them such a fresh look and feel.

    Costa Tramuntana
Oh, Jeroni, you are such a teaser!  The picture you've shown really has me excited to see what you will develop in the two harbors.

    Regards,

Hey Vandy, a couple of things.

first, i combined your posts...please use the edit button when making additional comments...unless you are making a reply to a post which has just been made.
second, and i feel stupid for this one - but what is your quote from? i've seen it (or heard it) before, but just can't place it!

oh, and jeronij, i hope you don't mind me dropping in...what you are doing is fabulous - your work with the pond sets is inspiring me to try it a couple places myself. very nice work.

    Hello, Jeroni.

Update 64!  Please keep them coming.  Reading your CJ is one of the highlights of my day.

    Costa Tramuntana
64.01  The city looks better and better everytime I see it.  Great layout for the center.

64.02  Ah, the overview!  What a wonderful way to be able to see the entire island's development.

64.03  Another great view.  Yes, health is VERY important.  Please humor an old man, Jeroni, and point out to me the health facility.  Thank you.

64.04  I look forward to seeing the development in this section.

64.05 A very nice ebassy with quite expansive grounds.  I must believe that security is very good in Costa Tramuntana as I don't see any obvious security checkpoints around the embassy.  Ah, would that we could live so open and secure in the real world.

    Et Amunts
60.06  I really must try this still of terrain leveling...

64.07  What a quaint pond and start of a stream.  Very nice.

64.08 and .09  That is quite a mesa you've terraformed here.  I bet the view is very nice from on top of it.

64.10 and .11  Quite an interesting view of what appears to be the top edge of the mesa?  I like the way you've placed the stream in front of the tall walls.  I especially like the walkway between the walls and the bridge accross the stream.  Very well done.

    Regards,

    Vandy

    Hi, MrCinaTit.

What a unique name.  I'm sure there is a story behind that...

< FLAMING OFF.  WE INTERRUPT THIS CITY JOURNAL FOR A BRIEF POETIC RESPITE >

To answer your question, my quote is from the tag line of a poem I wrote on May 29, 1980.  I use the poem as the postcript in my (self-published to friends and family) book of poetry.  The entire poem is as follows:

    POSTSCRIPT

I come upon you, brave and bold,
And reach my mind out for you to hold.
Think and wonder on what you read.
Dissect and strip it if you've the need.
But in the end you'll finally see,
You is you and me is me.

< FLAMING ON.  WE NOW RETURN YOU TO SCULPTING THE COLUMBIA RIVER CITY JOURNAL >

Oh, and by the way, just let it be... let it be.

    < grin >

    Regards,

Amigo, after all the good comments, vandy expressed, and I must say that I agree with practicaly most of them! I just want to ad that I'm grateful to you for giving me an embassy in Columbia River,19.gif and more, you put it near my summer house in SaPusa! that's a generous touch! I won't have to travel a lot for official business, and I'll be able to relax after a good day's work! 3.gif

And more! with those beautiful lawns, I'll practice my putting!

    Thanks jeroni! take care! 1.gif

    PS. For Vandy

Man you REALLY have a talent with words,I enjoy reading your replies! And I must say that I envy you for having visited Mallorca!

    Hi Jeronij,

    Very nice update!

64.03    I don't see how anyone living in such a beautiful place could ever need a hospital, unless its for taking care of injuries gotten in all of the parks available to the citizens of Costa Tramuntana...or maybe neck strains incurred from looking at all the lovely scenery?  Is the hospital available on the STEX?  I don't think I've seen it there.

EDIT: Never mind, I found it.  Here's the link if anyone else is interested...https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?mode=files&filetype=Lot&Str=nexisgeneralhospital

64.05    Is that a statue of Ambassador Darmok?

I love the way you've used the pond and stream kit around Ets Amunts so far, can't wait to see the finished product.  Keep up the great work!

    Respectfully,

Jeronij,  What a wonderful update.  There isn't much I could say that hasn't already been said.  I would like to comment though on your use of the wooden walkways combined with the pond and stream set.  The additions of the statues is the perfect little touch to complete it all.

    Regards.
