I'm customising the JS Seawalls set so I have a bit of variety on my water fronts and having one or two little issues.

The model for the walls themselves doesn't show up on the lowest zoom setting, also at zoom level 4 I get this problem, but not at other zoom levels.

I've been advised that I need to meddle with this setting in the Desc file in Reader, but it still doesn't show up in the lowest zoom. Am I doing it right?

When you change this Property in the Exemplar for the Prop, it may not dynamically change, lots of properties are placed into the save data after you've placed a lot. If this is one of those, then you will need to delete and re-plop them all before you would see the new values in effect.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

What's the trick for saving a lot without a background tile? The background tiles have an annoying habit of showing through the seawall prop on a whim.

And while I have everyone's attention, what's the value for traffic going through a GLR station rather than an EL Rail station, currently my trains jump into the sky when arriving at GLR stop!

Either use PIM-X or add a background texture then use Reader to delete it.

You seem to have encountered the Z fighting issue: When two elements - it also counts for props and textures - are at the same altitude on the Z axis, they fight for dominance.

To prevent that, you can either do what Corina recommended, or, if you just want to prevent the base texture from overlapping the prop, use CTRL + Up Arrow Key twice in LE to raise the seawall props by 0.2 m. This way, they aren't on the same altitude anymore. This, however, still requires you to bulldoze all existing seawalls and replace them for the changes to take effect.

GLR and El-Rail unfortunately use the same traffic type, this cannot be helped. I'm afraid there is no solution for this traffic jumping problem, other than making sure that your GLR stations do not touch El-Rail lines.

Isn't the core of the issue the coastal zigzag pattern that comes with shallow water levels? Essentially use god mode tools to lower the underwater part until the diagonal changes from zigzag to a cliff.

Open the Lot Exemplar in Reader and you'll be looking for the LotConfigProperyLotObjectData entries. Hopefully there won't be too many, but the initial 0x00000002 tells you the entry is a Texture. Now Reader doesn't know if it's a Base or an Overlay so you'll want to use a Texture with an ID that you can recognize. (If you make your own texture for this consider using 0x12345678 or something that'll stand out.)

The 13th Rep is the Texture ID so once you find the 0x00000002 entry that also has the matching Base Texture ID you used, then right click on that line and select "Delete property". After you do, then right click in the white space in that same panel and select "Reindex LotConfig". And finally, save the file.

Note: I don't recall if this means you cannot open it again in LE or not, but if you can, you won't be able to save until adding a Base Texture back once more so ideally removing the texture is your very last step.

Here's a quick peek at the Grass Park showing what you'll be looking for. The Texture ID here is the one for the bright green park grass.

^ And yes, I scrunched up and hid a couple of columns to make all the data fit. *;)
