Hi. Trying to install NAM 48 but every time I click on the patch and go to 'Run as Administrator', type in 'SimCity 4.exe' and press enter I get a pop up that says 'Couldn't open executable'.

Can anyone help with that please?

Thank you

EDIT - Have resolved this.

Do you browse the game folder first and then select SimCity 4.exe? Because sometimes, the file dialog doesn't go directly into the game folder. To determine the game folder, you can refer to these conditions:

  1. If you get your game from GOG, the game folder that contains the exe is on C:\GOG Games\SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition\Apps.
  2. If you have the CD version, the game folder is on C:\Program Files (x86)\SimCity 4\Apps (on 64-bit systems, which is the most systems today).
  3. If you get the Steam version, the folder is on C:\Steam\steamapps\common\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps.
  4. If you get the game from Origin, the folder is on C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition\Apps.
  5. If you have the EA app version, head over to C:\Program Files\EA Games\SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition\Apps.

It’s not asking for the name of the file, it’s asking you to select the file to patch. You must show the utility where the SimCity 4.exe file is.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.
