Converting back to Right-hand(US) drive

I've installed the NAM which is miraculously working on my EA interface and I am loving it and this game I took a break from for so long. However, I very well may have screwed up my second install of the NAM and clicked the option for left-hand (UK and other countries) drive. I read this helpful post on the boards, but when I tried the command line argument -l:"English" which the post recommends, EA's advanced options don't allow the quotation marks and I ended up adding  -l:English and of course nothing happened. Any ideas?
I realize I could just do another NAM reinstall but I'm trying to learn a few things in my old age.

I love this place and this community.

You’ll pretty much have to do a re-install, the LHD files won’t work with RHD game. The option in the NAM installer must match your install choices for SC4, it can’t switch your game to LHD mode.

As such the other instructions are not helpful, since it’s unlikely you ever had a LHD game. Therefore you need the RHD NAM files or the two will be in conflict which leads to funny (not working) results.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

I thought as much. Not that big a deal, so thank you for answering so promptly. It's hilarious how confusing this is, too; wait, so RHD means we steer on the left and drive on the right or...? There's five different versions out there if you google it. As I recall the NAM installer makes it crystal clear.

The way the NAM team specifies Right-Hand Drive (RHD) and Left-Hand Drive (LHD) is based off the Rule of the Road. If traveling along a bidirectional road, would you keep to the left side / left lanes, or the right side / right lanes? RHD means cars go to the right of the road's centerline, and LHD means cars go to the left of the road's centerline.

Right Hand Drive, simply means cars drive on the Right of the road, whereas Left Hand Drive is where they drive on the Left (at least in terms of SC4/NAM).

Countries where you drive on the left are not exactly the norm, but this does apply for the UK, Australia, Japan and a few other places. Because of this, rather than a simple in-game option to toggle this, Maxis based the setup on the locale used, in other words if you use UK English, Australia or Japan as your locale, then the game will auto-switch to LHD mode. This has been complicated further by the switch to digital, the original disks were sold in 5 or 6 different regions (SKUs), but you could select during install the locale to use. So far as I know neither Steam nor Origin have replicated this, you pretty much get US English (or RHD) as default. This can be altered, but it's not exactly a user-friendly process. Whereas at least GoG have included a simple application you can run, to change the locale, which is much simpler and includes the needed files for non-English speakers too.

Update: On my third reinstall(it's easy, not complaining) I carefully read the intro and checked the boxes and voila! RHD as we Yanks are accustomed to.  Also switched over to the Symphony highways and rising to the challenge. I love this game and community.
