18 hours. 10+ broken DL's(stopped counting after 10, probably more like 20), still not done.

Went to get this yesterday-

and noticed I didn't have this dependency-

BSC Prop Jeronij Vol 02 Trees

which led me to this-

https://sc4evermore.com/index.php/downloads/download/22-dependencies/3-sc4d-LEX-legacy-bsc-common-dependencies-pack

18 hours later and I've narrowed it  down to 8 culprits.

This is not going to work, at least for me. Storing dependencies I don't need or want? Because I'm not going to dl this every time I need something from it...

The model and prop files are either in the BSC MEGA Props JRJ vol04 or vol05 (or both). That upload originally contained the models+props and MMPs. When it was still going to the LEX, the unnecessary models would have been removed and the related MEGA Prop pack would have been linked. The problem is that we don't have LEX anymore. The MMPs will be rehosted with other MMPs from Jeronij collection eventually...

Honestly I don't understand your issue here. You download the file once. You install what you need. You keep the installer and if you need something else, then you run the installer again and select the files again what you need this time. The only note here, that the BSC Common Dependencies is currently on Version 6, soon it's gonna get a quite big and crutial update (that's when it will turn to Version 7). Probably there's gonna be a few more smaller updates if we feel it necessary, but according to my plans, this upcoming Version 7 will be close to final-candidate.

I must have explained it wrong. I have most everything I ever wanted out of that folder already. But I did need 1 very small dependency contained in it, necessitating that huge dl. I can't use Cleanitol because I've customized most of my files and don't want them getting reverted back to their original files. Seems to me that it would have been more efficient just to bring the whole LEX over here and gradually blend it into the STEX.  Is Devotion essentially a dead forum now?

Still don't understand. You download the file, keep it in a safe place, when you need something from it, run the installer and only install that one or two file that you need. You don't need to run the cleanitol. However bear in mind that subsequent updates have very big effect on the files that we are about to rehost and those rehosted and updated (often technically updated/fixed) used to be LEX contents will be heavily depending on the updated dependency packs.  For this case as you have a very special situation, keep your modified files backed up all the time.

It could not have been done for multiple reasons. One of them is that it would have been really-really non-efficient. There are tousands of contents on the still running exchanges which depend on these dependency packs and their links. If we started uploading one by one these dependencies essentially we would have broken the links even more than they are broken now. At least if someone hits a BSC MEGA Props dependency link it will lead to the legacy pack straight. Now, redirecting 3-400 links to 3-400 other different links with different addresses would have been pretty much burn out for whoever was doing it.  Plus checking back the history of custom contents in the past 15-18 years, one of the biggest obstacle and critique always have been that too many dependencies, too many links, too many clicking etc... We had a unique opportunity to gather these dependencies under one link with an easy to install method.

Afraid it's a moot point now, as I went to put it on a thumb drive, not realizing there wasn't enough space on it. The file is currently floating somewhere in the ethos. Thanks anyway. *:D

The website works by me.  Make sure if there are no problems with your connection

I tried to connect not using "https" but just regular "http" and this is what Spectrum (my New York City internet provider, which basically does all of New York City) reported:

Are you using any antivirus that blocks connection to suspicious websites?

Nope, no antivirus.  That's just my ISP reporting that the website is suspicious, because it probably needs a new SSL certificate or something.

SSL certificates wont work with HTTP .. thats why there is a HTTPS. Normally what happens is if you use the HTTP address it will auto forward you to the https. I've validated this is working as intended on sc4evermore, meaning for some reason your isp is blocking that redirect. To avoid the issue in the future, please directly use https://sc4evermore.com .

I am able to access SC4Evermore using my mobile phone data plan (Verizon).  However, it will not work with my regular internet provider (Spectrum).  I tried using OpenDNS and flushing my DNS cache, but it was still blocked.  Basically, if Spectrum is blocking the website, it appears to be blocked for all users in New York City.  Both Firefox and Brave browsers are reporting that SC4Evermore's certificate is an issue based on what I posted earlier.

I don't know if there's anything else I can do to fix it but I suspect that if there's an issue for me, there might be an issue for others.

I've confirmed that my ISP is in fact blocking SC4Evermore.com.

https://www.spectrum.net/support/forms/verify_url_security

If you go to my ISP's website there, and input SC4Evermore, they are in fact blocking it.   There's a request form to remove the block, which I've submitted.  It might be helpful if the owners of SC4Evermore also submit requests to remove the block.  Apparently, this is an issue with Spectrum and they are more cautious than other ISPs.

Just a heads up that SC4E is out of commission at the moment.  A bizarre issue that sprung up with the site's multi-factor authentication system basically locked myself and a few other staffers out of the Admin Panel, and my attempts to fix it thus far have nerfed the whole thing.

Edit: The main part of the site is functional again, though the inability to access the Admin Panel still persists.

Hello all, today I received an email from my ISP, Spectrum:

"We have reviewed and approved your request to unblock sc4evermore.com. We found this website was incorrectly blocked and is safe to visit. To prevent this from happening again, we’ll update our security rating for this website. This process can take up to 48 hours to complete."

However, I can confirm that right now I'm able to access the website again.  Thanks all who helped me figure out it was an ISP issue.  I'm frankly amazed they corrected things so quickly. Hope this means we'll have a Happy New Year.

For those of you encountering the Cloudflare "Invalid SSL Certificate" warning that is preventing access to SC4Evermore, we are aware of the situation.  Today is the date that our webhost is supposed to auto-renew our SSL certificate--it doesn't appear they've done that quite yet, and depending on what timezone Cloudflare is using to determine validity, that seems to be throwing things for a loop.

Depending on how long it takes for the auto-renewal to happen (and for Cloudflare to recognize it), and whether or not we have to wrangle with our webhost and/or Cloudflare, it may be a day or two before SC4E is accessible again.  Thank you for your support and patience in the meanwhile.

Good news here--it looks like the auto-renewal of the SSL certificate went through and is now being recognized, so SC4E is operational again.

McAfee is blocking the site for what I can only assume is being a filesharing site that isn't explicitly whitelisted. You might want to file a report here if you can.

My ISP did the same thing.  I had to make a report to get them to remove it, which thankfully they did.  All of New York City would've been blocked from SC4Evermore if they kept it!  Crazy.

If you're a customer of McAfee, go ahead and make a report.  I've learned people listen to their customers, sometimes.

Our webhost has managed to become even more unreliable, so it's going to be doing this probably at least a couple times per day, for the foreseeable future, until we change hosts.  It's unfortunately a normal occurrence now--expect the site to go down everyday for at least a few hours.

And yes, changing hosts is already in motion, even though we're paid up through mid-2025 with our current host.  It's that bad.

The site is now on the new server with a new webhost, and seems to be running much more reliably.  We have more disk space and quadruple the RAM of our old server.  Many thanks to @Shadow Assassin for making all of this possible!

very frustrated.. is there a torrent for BSC Common Dependencies Pack? I currently have a very slow connection. This file is gigantic and keeps failing midway through.

I tried using a download manager to download in pieces, but it says the website does not support download resuming because of the link target format.

Also, malwarebytes has corrupted my download once because it detects a trojan trying to connect to "103.224.182.251" inside the file....

    not sure whats going...:???:
