Traffic Blocker Set: What Am I Missing?

So I have this Traffic Blocker Set (cars, buses, and freight) for many years now. The mod works except that the texture tiles for traffic street blocker (including SAM) seem to appear like that of a pedmall. I'm pretty sure I have all its required dependencies. What am I missing?

Did you download this file I uploaded?

If yes, please check again the dependencies against your version. I decided to replace some of the textures last year because of better quality, and the new dependencies (MGB Textures) are easier to track down and don't come with additional lots. You might also want to try downloading the new version, as well as its dependencies, and replacing all street TB's with the new ones.

Yes. I mentioned that I thought I have all the dependencies required but I realized I may have incorrectly installed/added SFBT Essentials or misplaced MGB texture file folder I downloaded 4 months ago. So I guess, my questions are 1. How to properly install SFBT Essentials (which btw I'm having trouble with since the installer is in German) and 2. should I create a separate folder for MGB Textures (I found my MGB Texture - US file on a folder called "z_MGB Mods")?

You may want to try downloading the SFBT Essentials from here, but I don't know for sure if the installer will be in English (it would, however, be very unlikely): https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=750

However, if you are really missing the street textures, you are surely missing the MGB Textures, since I got the street textures from there.

Actually, it shouldn't matter where you placed the folder for the MGB textures, as long as it is in your Plugins folder.

I also recommend bulldozing the existing street TB's in your cities and placing them again, to see if that works. You might still have an old version in your cities. But even then, you should only have trouble like this if you have removed the old dependencies.

Haha, yes, it's also in German and the same one I downloaded years ago since I'm keeping most of my downloaded mods on my PC, especially those dependencies. Should I select all in install the options?

Hmmm... I'm starting to get lost here. I got the new MGB Textures since August this year and tried placing TBs (which I really loved btw) again on new cities but to no avail. In fact, I've trying to figure this out for months but I gave up then because I can't really figure out how to fix it. I'm gonna try to redownload and reinstall TB. Hope it works!

?? I just downloaded it from the LEX and tried it, and there it is in English.

Yes, it's probably best if you install the latest version of the TB's.

    JUST NOW: IT WORKED!!!

Here's the thing, I'm not exactly sure now what actually fixed the issue since I did the steps almost at the same time!!! I removed and installed the new TB file and was surprised to see that is now a single file. But if the missing street TB texture issue is otherwise due to that, then it might be possible that I was missing the .dat files for the maxis street and SAM override all along...

The main file contains all the original NAM SAM textures, so whatever was fixed wouldn't have been with this set. You do realise you shouldn't install everything from that download, there are options for US/EU users and more, as such you should only keep those files that are correct for your game choices.

In fact, you should remove all those optional files starting with z, which are only included for use with custom mods. For example unless you are using Rivit's Urban TSR and SAM5 mods, along with my own SAM6/7 mods, you really don't want to keep those overrides. All of this is better explained in the included documentation.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

I do that's why there's only one MGB Texture pack (for U.S.) in there. *:thumb:

I was completely wrong here. I didn't realize they're for other mods.

If that's the case, maybe the relocation of MGB Texture files folder or simply the installation of the new version may have fixed the issue? I really don't know now. :???:
