Looking for screensavers

Guys, could you recommend a reliable site with screensavers for download?

By reliable I mean one that does not embed "snifulas" or trojans to a download, or adbots with horny-voiced grrrls warning to "not open this game if you are < 18 y/o". :)

The "SimCity 4" vanilla Opera House is the most evil thing in existence. Avoid.

Saving Magnasanti... - the most depressing city in history being revitalized

Also worth checking...
- "TMC's Drawing Board" - my city designs and plans.

Screensavers?, what is this 1990?

Does anyone really still use them?, their purpose was to prevent screen burn-in, similar to that Plasma TVs suffer. My partner's constant long sessions with Borderlands 2, mean part of the HUD is a permanent part of my viewing experience... grrr. But computer LCD displays have no such issues, this was really only a thing with the older CRTs.

In short, if you aren't at your computer, save energy and money, have your computer switch the signal off, which incidentally is also a better solution to burn-in too. Such power-management is not a particularly recent development, so unless you have some bizarre or archaic equipment, Screen Savers really don't make any sense. Which is probably also why you are struggling to find them.

Head over to my Lot and Mod Shack to keep abreast of my latest developments.

Do you like custom textures, but don't like all the work involved creating them?, take a look at the Texture Automation options here. Change the look and feel of your transit networks, with the minimum of effort, for example customised versions of my Sidewalk NAM (SWN) and Terrain Grass NAM (TGN) mods, and much more besides.

New to the NAM? Check out my tutorials on YouTube. Latest upload: How to: RHW - MHO Roundabout Interchanges. (Nov 25).

p.s. - I'm MGB over on SC4D and a member of the NAM team.

I actually have a modern LCD screen in a UHD resolution but the instruction still contains a warning about the "image persistence".

Do you think these concerns are exaggerated?

Besides, I don't want to turn the screen off every toilet break... :lost:

Yeah, my 8 year old IPS monitors mention it too. But it’s never been an issue. My plasma TV is a different story. Although you really have to push it to extremes before permanent damage is done. Certainly it’s not going to happen in an hour. If it did, you’d have parts of the taskbar or desktop most likely already showing the signs. I think it’s just a get out warranty disclaimer as much as anything. As stated, if you are worried, set the display to go into standby mode, you achieve the same thing and save power. Win/Win.
