Invisible city

I have a visual problem. My city does not render in region mode, but is playable in city mode.

Is there a fix for this?

Start with these:

• Make a backup of your region first.
• Be sure you have the 4 GB patch applied to SimCity 4.exe.
• Load your city and save being sure to not switch focus away from the game.
• (Never use Save and Exit or Save and Quit.)

It appears you've got a corrupted region thumbnail image in that tile, which might be initially caused by switching focus while saving the game (as Cori said).

A possible option could be to try resetting it manually as my mini tutorial explains here:

If willing to try this, be sure to make the all-important backup first though. Very essential step!

Hello, personally to avoid this kind of rendering of the city tile, before going out, I zoom in 5 on a little occupied area and do a control + S then I do: exit without saving ... it works for all shots !
You may have noticed that when saving the city, the cursor changes from the "hourglass" of maxis to the spinning wheel of windows (under W10 for example). At this moment you can be sure that the image of the city in "region" mode will be corrupted! So before leaving my city, key [5] on the keyboard (zoom 5) control +S and hulahup a backup where the city tile is built normally.
