If you've got SC4 Mapper, you can do this on your end with any of my maps.  Just open the SC4M by going to "Create Region", choose "SC4M".  Once it loads, go to "Export Region" and then choose .png or .bmp as your output file type and save to whichever directory you want.

As for requests, the first is for the members in general- accurate maps of the moon and assorted planets. I have a feeling they'll be in demand.

As for me, I need a topographical map of the coastal waters off the coast of Florida. I could do this by hand but it will not be as accurate and a lot more tedious. App. 3000x3000 starting at the panhandle down to the Keys.

Intriguing as it is, I’m planning to stick to Earth for now.  I’ve just got too many maps here on this blue rock that I want to complete before I blast off into outer space.  And anyway the last time I looked for some Mars data, some mean dudes in suits showed up at my front door.  I dont remember what happened after that, only that I really have no desire to look for outer planetary data.

Likewise, I’m not planning on venturing into the “modified scale” world, at least not on a regular basis.  I like my maps real world accurately scaled to game, so a map that size wont work due to size.  I had a hard time pushing the limits of Long Island, NY so no way the entire Florida coast would work as a single region at the scale I want.  I could split them into several regions that would take off where the previous left off.  I did this with another yet to be released region and drunkapple did this for his Los Angeles maps.  That approach would be a maybe depending on time and other priorities that I want to release first.  I do have some Florida maps in the queue and theres a good chance at least one or two of those will come before the new year.

I would like to advocate for my corner of the world, the Caribbean!

Any chance we could see some of these cities made in superb quality? It's a huge list, but I'm sure even one or a small handful should be doable. If it weren't for work and my existing commitments within the NAM team, I'd rather become a mapmaking apprentice myself.

Johor Bahru is coming either next week or the week after as part of a map that includes Singapore and parts of Batam and Pemping Islands in Indonesia.

Yes.  Whether most (or any) of us have access to such a  computer I am not sure.

Anyway, the release maps will obviously be split.  Based on the image the map can be split west to east into three equal parts.  From Santa Barbara to the western edge of the San Fernando Valley, from there to Pomona and then finally from Pomona to Coachella.  I am doing in game testing atm and everything seems fine.

I may release a downsized “bonus” version for anybody who wants the entire map to fit on one region.  Maybe.

Max region size is tied to resolution .. so it might be worth to upload the whole thing so when 8k and further resolutions come along .. might be possible to open the entire thing.

Amazing maps. May I request a map of Chicago including "Chicagoland" as seen in this picture? If possible up to and including Rockford further west. Edit: Maybe needs to be rotated slightly because of the street layout.

Chicagos been on deck for a while, I'll try and get it released soon, but there are currently maybe about 5 maps ahead of it.  I had to compress some of the elevations on this one to maintain the waterways, lakes, etc.

Dropping a quick note here to say that I haven’t forgotten nor given up on mapping… just ‘gone fishin’ for a while and popping in and out of the grid.  I do have quite a few map files sitting on my computer (which unfortunately I don’t have access to atm).  When I do get back to it, I’m planning to potentially upload a batch of maps at once onto the STEX.

Is there a way to access the full size LA map you posted before? I know some of it may be too big to reach due to the limitations of the game but I think most of it would be ok as I had a similar map of Long Island that was about as massive!

FYI everyone, I updated the Map Catalogue (Post #1, Page #1 of this thread) to a more readable format.  It's not as pretty as the one posted before, but I think its much more functional.
