Disappointed with the game's tutorial

I bought the  game during steams summer sale, see image above as to what I bought, and I was very disappointed with the tutorial or lack of any help like SimCity 4  had back in 2003

Are there any mods or easy to understand walkthrough play by play fan made  tutorial's???

I went to  build a road and that tweety bird at the top center only  said something about residence requiring earplugs and no help as to what to do next, like pipes under the street weren't suggested and or zoning properly etc

As a newbie myself, I feel your pain. But I think you'll find a ton of tutorials, demos, "Let's Play", etc. on YouTube. There are also some great guides and tutorials (mostly on Steam). Remember, Google is your friend!

There are a number of very cute videos out.  There's really no substitute for experience however. It can be quite confusing to play according to traditional guide lines. I highly recommend you start out by learning what you can and can not do in the map editor first. This can save you a lot of back tracking when you try to actually play the game.  Second I recommend you activate the unlimited money mod that comes with the base game. That far better will let you explore your design technique without having to worry about money and experiencing premature bankruptcy, starting out. Then contrary to popular advice I suggest you don't worry too much about trying to repair mistakes.  Concentrate instead on trying to avoid making the same mistake over and over again.
