I'm trying to build water/subline lines throughout my City but keep running into a terrain error when I lay my network (due to steepness I assume).  Is there a mod that would allow me to place subway, water pipe or other underground networks over a steep (and unrealistic) terrain?  I'm currently using Ennedi's slope mod so I'm not sure if this would cause any conflict?

Thanks in advance.

    Cool. I wasn't aware of this and was making one myself to post.

    @Voldoo

    Let me know if that does what you need. I was making one even more radical than the x3 included. Also, the exemplars it uses will not interfere with Ennedi's since that one only affects transport networks.

    Edit: Since I extracted the two requisite exemplars from SimCity_1.dat myself and made the tweaks I've not taken anything away from the original creator of those mods. *;)

    Ennedi's mod comes with three grades. You should use only one, saving the other two for when you change your mind.

    Also, such slope mods are ancient. They fiddle with the allowed gradients and "bendiness", but they leave many other parameters at default values. In particular, the reach and the number of smoothing passes are left at weak-CPU levels. Our more powerful modern CPUs can handle much more, so I recommend customizing your chosen slope file to greatly boost the number of cells per iteration and the number of iterations for smoothing. Let your computer do the work for you! Then you can have roads that are both easy to place and good looking.

    Other parameters to look at include side-banking, total departure from original elevation, construction costs, tunnel entry, bridging etc etc. There's so much there that I heartily recommend that every player open up the slope exemplar and customize to suit his / her own style. There's just too much personal taste in there for anyone else's "slope mod" to fit you well (at least not after you discover how much you can do with it yourself).

    Once you've stepped into it, you'll wonder why the game didn't come with a slope-parameters adjustment panel.

    While I'm not at all afraid of poking around with Reader and tweaking values it does seem this would take a lot of trial and error and testing when someone (such as me) knows nothing about what to expect from changing any of those. A guide with example pics would be wonderful if one is ever written. *;)
