Just recently found out the hard way that the entirety of the original OST (not the songs introduced in Unlimited such as Sixth Floor, Electric City, etc. for whatever reason) is on Twitch's "no-go" list:

Twitch has been using this overly-aggressive and hostile tactic for a while now.  Just look up the phrase "Audio for portions of this video has been muted as it appears to contain copyrighted content owned or controlled by a third party." with your search engine of choice.

They must stand on the "better be safe than sorry" policy. All things copyright can get very messy, moreover in today's world. You are streaming and it's fine by you, but then the copyright law in your country can be different to the one on the country your audience is, or where Twitch servers are...  many parties are involved in these cases.

    But... it's stupid !

Music is part of the game... the game itself is copyrighted, it doesn't make sense.

It doesn't in the real world, but it does in the copyright law world. See, it's not a100% related issue but you can get it as an example. In countries like Germany or Spain, there are agencies who take care of "defending the interests of music authors and composers". It's SGAE in Spain or GEMA in Germany. GEMA is a kind of inside joke in Germany as, until recently, the following situation happened (I copy-paste from Wikipedia, much better than trying to explain it by myself):

    Quote

The blocking of YouTube videos in Germany is part of an ongoing dispute between the video sharing platform YouTube and the Gesellschaft für musikalische Aufführungs- und mechanische Vervielfältigungsrechte (GEMA), a performance rights organisation in Germany.

According to a German court in Hamburg, Google's subsidiary YouTube could be held liable for damages when it hosts copyrighted videos without the copyright holder's permission. As a result, music videos for major label artists on YouTube, as well as many videos containing background music, are geoblocked in Germany since the end of March 2009 after the previous agreement had expired and negotiations for a new license agreement were stopped. On 30 June 2015, Google won a partial victory against GEMA in a state court in Munich, which ruled that they could not be held liable for such damages.

Watching videos with certain music on them was a nightmare in Germany. It was impossible to watch official videos of world-class artists until recently, and under the audience standpoint, it was absolute nonsense. But it made total sense in that underworld of courts and lawyers.
