Feeling uninspired

So recently I had to delete my plugins folder and therefore delete my cities due to misguided error repair. I've tried reinstalling things but I am not getting the look I wanted anymore. This makes me not want to build anymore, anyone else feeling uninspired?

Nope. Not me. I'm still enthusiastic.

 

But look at it this way: You now have the opportunity to re-build your plugins just how you want them and create new cities using all the knowledge you have gained.

I can empathize with the experience.  Losing downloaded plugins is not too bad because they can be re-downloaded, but if you've lost a lot of your own original work, that is going to take a bit of time to 'heal' from.  The work we create is part of our soul, not that it should be too much of what we are.  Some artists go through periods of un-inspiration, some artists get fed up with their art and everything and throw it away and start over.   I've done both, several times.  I think the artist is actually always greater than the art, the artist has the ability to create, and also the ability to re-create.   I hope that is some inspiration for you.

I lost my computer 4 times since 2004. But all the plugins were always saved. I hate all these stupid Lot Editor, GMAX and other updates from MAXIS. I'm talking about mounting these things on the computer.

This is my road to hell ...

Someone released a raw product, like Windows Vista, Windows Millennium - etc...

I am waiting with dread for the death of another of my motherboard or graphics card.

The first thing to do is learn from your mistake. Why did you delete the Plugins folder in any event? You can always simply move it elsewhere if you think something inside is causing problems. Not to mention, the first place anything you delete should go is the Recycle Bin, did you think to check there?

If you do decide to re-build it, make regular backups this time around. Most people have one separate folder containing all the stuff they've downloaded (outside of Plugins), then copy those parts of that they want to use into the Plugins folder.

I suffer motivation issues with playing a lot, but I think that's because where I want to get to with the game is taking so long. But when I feel like that I don't force things, I always find myself reeled in again.
