Hey ,Just a quick update ,hope to do something bigger at weekend.
Hello sisu,Welcome to the city ,yes it is big 276 mb to be exact ,lol
Hello Soldyne welcome you also to New Haven, thx for the reply ,lol ,yes it started
as an experiment and developed into my first cj. Finished ,thats something that will never happen
the region will just keep on bigger .The restrictions ,well thats just the way i played sc4 for the last 3 yrs ,on and off,
although i have added a few bats and terrains mods ,the rules have stayed the same, and not one building has been plopped,
everything in this cj has grown through creating demand ,with ind, connections ,ect. Not rocket science ,i know but still a challenge .

    Region Hits 10 million

Hey Storms ,,all Welcome to the cj dude, love the old trafford sig, i live real close by
and been many times,,Thx for visiting and the compliment.

Been real busy at work,so heres just a quick update of the region..
    newhaven4fw.jpg

At present the region is made up of 94 unfinished towns and cities.Mostly med density towns.
Also the big patches of Farmland are yet to be cleared, just a method i use to get the farmers market in nearly every city.
Even with 10.5 million head it still looks real empty and patchy, should start to take shape over the next few months i hope .

I like this region. I have a suggestion though, zone some medium and low density in addition to all the high... This gives you a more natural look. The you can gradually rezone to get more people.
I also like the Rise Of Nations screenshots.

Wow, very big city you have going on here. Alkaola is right you must have alot of patience to wait for something like this to grow.  Great job.  In some areas it looks a little too plain for me.  I think a few more trees and some parks might make things look better.  Just remember your CJ not mine.  This is just a suggestion.

Hi guys welcome to this update

    ------------------------------

    Replies

Hi Alkaola welcome to my cj -)

Hey Rooker1 ,i hear ya ,i will place more tree s parks,Oh patience ,lol

i dont wait for the city to grow ,i create demand ,so at least 2-3 sectors

are growing all the time, the only thing i realy goto wait for is for the education

levels to rise. And i only play office cities when my rci demand is beyond full .

That way im sure to get the biggest buildings available.

Hey Andi ,nice to see another brit ,welcome to New Haven ,Crowded ??,

i prefer to use the term ,cosy .And if you think this one is crowded, wait til u

see the next big city i do.

Hi anubis ,sorry i not replied in your cj ,i visited Sankt Lorenz  many times

very detialed cj you have.Yes the is a lot of skyscrapers ,i planned it that way ,and have spent many

hours working this city to get the towers.I play a lot of modern rts games online,so my pc is high spec

,the city plays fine ..Personaly i think its the asus motherboard i bought that makes it special.

    Dallas reaches 3 million milestone

    ---------------------------------------

The population increase from 2.7 to 3 million has been very difficult as

100k+  lower wealth jobs disappeared ,to make way for new office developments

in neighbouring cities, this lead to a five year ressesion, that saw the pop

    shrink back down to 2.4 million.Finaly the sims found the 300K Co$$ & $$$

jobs that had been created in a neighbouring city, causing a unpresidented

boom for residential ,rocketing the cities population to well over 3 million.

Impressive, not beautiful, but impressive. I love that many people walking or biking, instead of taking the car, good mass transit layout.44.gif

This is certainly one of the biggest regions I have ever seen. I just don't understand the traffic volume statistics: So many people using masstransit. Anyway, keep up the great work. (If you can reach 4 million people in Dallas)

Hi Sisu ,Hello again just a quick reply to ur comment,

I think that so many sims in Dallas use the Mass Transit because the city gives away free brocolli flavoured jelly on every trip ...That being the main reason. Also  the mass transit system has been in place

since the beggining of time for all the sims in Dallas, Pic 3 of my last update shows an intersection of 5 types of MT with a multistorey carpark,  a lot of the pedestrian count comes as sims change forms of Mass transit say from Bus to tube ,then tube to Monorail ,then back on the bus .Free jelly,

Commuter shuttles,Max funding , convienience, capacity and conditioning,is what makes the MT so sucsessful in Dallas.

Despite a slump in Co$$$ demand in Central Dallas the city continues to

grow and now has 3.6 million residents.
