I'm aware of those chains. They are all part of the Stage family of dept stores. The family includes Peebles, Stage, Bealls, Palais Royal and of course Goody's. Peebles is definitely on my to-do list as it is really common across my region . I'm going to be most likely busy for the weekend, but perhaps I could look into it more on Monday.

Nices I’m actually shock of all the Peebles and Goodys in my area closing for Gordmans!

It's a family affair to go the market named Family Fare  -  well if you live in Michigan. :D

Trying something different with this Family Fare supermarket by making it have a corner entrance. Based off the Albion, MI location.

You answered your own question!  lol

But from what I've seen, it looks like one or the other at bigger locations.

I'm not giving the one I make either though.

Thanks for the uploads, They look great!  Sears is all but gone here in the Kansas City Metro area.  I think there is only 3 or 4 stores in the whole area now.

    @ericexp

It's rather sad to see them go.  Going to K-Mart was a weekly adventure when I was as kid.  I Can still hear them call out for the blue light special, and getting the Sear's catalog was the best thing ever.

Your welcome! I'm glad you are enjoying them. The closest official Sears to me now is 2 hours away now that the closest one is closed. I have a hometown store about 45 mins away.

I actually plan to do a proper Sears store based one that mentioned closed location - eventually. Things will be a bit busy for me for the next month, so you may not see a lot of action from me until May 1.

It is sad to see these two companies crumble, but this is what happens when you have poor leadership.

WIP of the former Sears in Lakewood, NY. This location was built in the 1970s I believe, and I'm trying to mimic the architecture used. The Large Sears Auto Center I made already will complement this. Slow progress, but this is a point in the BAT worth sharing.

So while Sears is complete, I will be holding onto it for now. Have some plans that will make use of it down the road.

In the meantime, here's a WIP start of my next project: Strip mall #2

Time has been a little bit friendly, but again I'm only able to do so much. This is quite the difference compared to yesterday.

Any ideas of local or made-up store suggestions are welcome, as this is meant to be one of those strip malls. Rite Aid will be anchoring this.

I have some ideas maybe? Something I have not yet seen in Game yet but see it then in real life is a Mini Casino “skilled  slot game casino” this plaza like like something it would have in it maybe name it like “Lucky simmer Slots”? Also a 5and10 aka 5 and dine store also may look good.... and or maybe abandoned  movie rentals place like Hollywood video or so

More time than me, lol. This looks nice. Only thing I can think of is something like a Fidelity or some local financial planner.

Wow! Thanks for all the responses folks! Other than Rite Aid and a TBD insurance company, I would like keep the other businesses all generic. @Billk2007 has the right idea with generic business ideas such as a comic shop, salon or vape shop.  No plans to add any other national brands in this particular plaza. This strip mall is designed after the RL Livingston Park Plaza in Manchester, NH. .

If you can come up with a name for a suggested business, that may boost the chances of your suggestion being accepted. The lower roof portion on the right is designed to be a family restaurant.

Hopefully this will help you all out with future suggestions.

Cassidy's Toy Store like from SimCity 2000 would be cool, I have thought about recreating it for SC4.

@pclark06 You got a reference picture for the toy store? Never played SimCity 2000.

@Evanjs I see what you're going for there, but that name feels forced and rushed. No offense.

The actual SC2000 building is on the top left. No logo or anything but the name is such a throwback to those who first got into the sim games in the late 90s. Was named after Will Wright's daughter. I may do a small town one for my own use similar to the SC2k building, but it would be a 2x2 wall to wall instead of 1x1 like in SC2. I think I started playing SC2000 in like '97 or '98 and made stuff on the old BAP in SC3k, so I've been around a while, lol

If you use that branding for the strip mall, you could always create the logo and everything.
