I am getting close to a release on the first set. I am working on the diagonal pieces, then I will be doing one or two pieces to handle elevation changes.

Hey Becca, I found this site while looking up the LA River on Wikipedia:

The pics are a little tiny, but give a good idea of what's going on there. Hope they help. I love the places where an adjoining river meets the LA River at a curved angle. The pointy walls that insue are really striking.

Hi Becca! I've been following this post and found that your creations are awesome! It involves lots of hardwork and eats up lots of your free time right? Good job!

I am thinking about is it possible for you to create another set of rivers which the colour of the water doesn't look so polluted. You know from those pics the water looks, erm, a little bit like sewage. sorry if this sounds rude, but I still like the colour scheme In other words, is it possible for you to create river sets with different colours of water? This might cater to the various needs of the SC4 players' cities...

but one little thing: i suggest rescaling the trolleys cause as they are scaled now they look now, they must have the scale of a chevy tahoe

Just read the whole thread, I must say you've progressed so much in a very short amount of time. Your project looks great! can't wait to see them on the stex I'm sure they'll be a big hit. Especially for people like me who tend to like the not so pretty side of sim life. Have you thought about adding maybe some graffiti to the larger pieces? I think that would look pretty kool. Anyways keep up the great work

Just an off the wall thought, but maybe a transitions piece from one of the canal or stream set where the water goes from clean to dirty. maybe an end piece that show the water spilling into the in game water or into a swamp. I think Lynks made some swamp plant props. Just ideas since water obviously don't start off that way and has to goes somewhere. BTW awesome job!!!

You've done very well with this project so far and you've made alot of progress - so for that, i thank you. The ditches and main 'rivers' look very realistic. Just a suggestion, perhaps you could add some wrecked or burnt out cars in the bigger sections for a touch more realism .
