Database error on SC4Devotion

I tried to access SC4Devotion today but I'm having this error:

Database Error
Please try again. If you come back to this error screen, report the error to an administrator.

But the thing is that it's appearing everywhere, I can access nothing, so I can't find an administrator to report it. '-'
Is it happening with everyone?

There is nothing to suggest anything bad has happened. I know that the SimPeg situation came as a shock to us all. But given the site is up, including full access to the LEX exchange, this kind of comment is only likely to spread unwarranted paranoia.

It's a database error, which likely doesn't mean the database is non-functioning, just that somewhere at the back-end the forums are not able to correctly reference the database. This could be as simple as some unplanned maintenance on the part of the host. Either way, be patient, I'm sure we'll get some official news soon enough. This sort of thing happens occasionally at both SC4D and here, usually it will be back and running in a few days at most.

I also saw this problem, and I noticed I can not even LOG OUT. Well, things happen, they will solve this little issue, I guess, soon...

SC4D Admin here.  I don't know entirely what is causing the database issue, but I do know that Jeronij watches things like this like a hawk.  I haven't heard from him, but his usual modus operandi is to quietly fix things in the background, and let us know what happened once he's gotten the site back up and running.  No doubt he is currently wrestling with our webhost.  Jeronij is meticulous about setting up regular backups for the forum database (SimPeg's demise was the result of having no backup), so it's not a matter of if, but when we'll be back.

I doubt it since Prnt Scrn is a system function unrelated to your browser window. It isn't even related to your browser, just what your GPU is rendering on screen, which with websites isn't typically all that much.

Many of the instability problems in Windows come from a lack of resources. Something needs runtime, but the system is busy doing something else.

It doesn't help that since WinXP, Windows will presume the system/application has crashed for any task that takes time. Because that way people won't stare at the screen wondering if the application has crashed or not! Often, if you open Task Manager and view the process, you'll see the RAM/CPU usage fluctuating, a sure sign it has not crashed. I've had applications "Not Responding" for over an hour, that were simply busy doing the thing I'd asked of them.

As for Print Screen, I've switched to using InfranView for making screenshots, which works anywhere on my PC. I've set a keyboard shortcut, CTRL + F11, provided the application is running, it then saves the capture into a folder of my choosing for later retrieval, most useful.
