I thought it would be a good idea to make myself a thread to get some help and feedback on my projects before I release them.

So my current projects are some Sheikh Zayed Road buildings. All main-models are textured, just need nightlights and LODs:

Here's a link to my workshop for anyone who wants to check that out: http://steamcommunity.com/id/gby0221/myworkshopfiles/?appid=255710 and here are some pics of the Al Yaqoub, Rolex tower, Chelsea tower and Al Tayer tower;

For the Tayer tower I've stumbled upon another shadow "glitch" problem. This means that the more I zoom out, the more the top of the building becomes blue.

Here's an example;

Those looks quite nice. The blue glow is probably due to the specular map. Maybe tone down a few numbers on the panels. For advice, I would take a good look at the base of these buildings. They kind of look out of place now.

    Darf, can you elaborate how you mean I should adjust the bases?

    The Yaqoub and Chelsea tower are pretty hard to get a good look at as they're connected directly to the metro stations. The base of the Tayer tower I'm absolutely not happy with yet, as I need to make some adjustments to the colorvalues there. The base of the Rolex tower should be pretty accurate to the real building.

    You are a god! This looks so nice and I waited for this pretty long. Are you planning Cayan Tower, Princess Tower and a typical Dubai tram station too? This would be quite nice and would definitely fit to your buildings in the photo!

    It must be something like this  :rofl:

    I've had the same thing, it has to do with the UV map. This might help

    I mean that they don't really connect on a street level it's just the building. Place some props (for example one of the towers had a restaurant at the bottom, incorporate the advertising on the ground floors. If you want a good example, look for Boldlybuildings version of the willis tower vs. other versions. Or his wells fargo plaza.

    Thank you :)

    Do you have any reference photos of that typical tram station, because I'm not completely sure I understand which one you mean.

    The Cayan tower is already uploaded by nassko so do check that one out, He also has a version of the princess tower, but I'm not sure if he's planning to upload it in the near future.

    The two marina towers I'm planning to release is the Damac residenze which I'm posponing until the building start to look pretty finnished in real life, and also the Marriott marina building which just needs a LOD and some nightlights. Just lost some motivation for that one, but will for sure go back to that one later.

    Thanks! I tried it out but unfortunately that trick didn't work for my model. As you see I got quite some space, and still it's blue daba dee;

    Definitely a good idea to add some props and of course concrete, but I believe I've added the correct shops on the ground floors.

    Maybe I need a couple of more signs here and there though...

    I usually also add some shades and adjust colors of my diffusetextures at this stage, but I haven't put the time to fully do that yet.

    @officialsauron There is already a typical Dubai tram station, sorry. But thank you for the information that Cayan tower already exists in the workshop :D

    @mikamaty  Oh so you mean the "golden" metro station that I've got placed infront of the buidings in some of the photos?
    Well speaking of golden things, I'm currently working on my version of the Al Attar Tower.

    It's not really superaccurate to the real building, but I mean it has the correct measurments and it looks correct until the top part.

    Will probably also add white detailing like the render, as it looks much better than just gold everywhere.

    @officialsauron No, I meant a tram station. This "golden" station in your photos is a metro station and we need that :)

    So here's the Attar tower textured. As most models I haven't added detail to the textures yet, but any feedback on how it looks sofar?

    Just some small tweaks to the LOD then it should be ready for the workshop...

    Thanks Darf, honestly a bit suprised myself how well it turned out during nighttimes.

    Just uploaded it to the workshop. Hopefully it all works correctly.

    Having some problems with the textures on these buildings. As you can see from the images belove the frame in the middle of the windows goes from sharp to blurry with a pretty visible transition.

    Might happen to all buildings, just something I haven't noticed until now.

    But it's bothering me, so if there's a way to fix that, please let me know.'

    Also testing out normal maps for the first time. I'm using NVidia PS plug-in for this. Might the normal map be something that might cause this to happen?

    I believe I read something about inverting the red channel, which I haven't done yet.
