If this has been duplicated elsewhere---my apologies. If not, then this thread could be for pics that once graced the hallowed halls of Simtrop, harken back to the earlier days and versions of cities you've created and works you've done. They might be "one-offs" or simple pictures that symbolize a  reminisce of times long passed in your journeys with SC4. Could also be pics that feature custom effects that are no longer in your active plugins portfolio..

No shortage of throwbacks on my end! Here's a sample of my best works, mostly for the competitions.


For the Best Airport competition, this one ended up being #2. But it was my first screenshot with heavy modification and I am still proud of it!


A crop of the Best Military. The rest of it had some ships, more fighters and lots of live-fire action.

 

F-15 automata, in it's final version. 

Another one-off from Close Ups. Unfortunately I didn't get very far in this one.

I remember those pics, airman!

However, I must admit that I totally misunderstood the thread idea. I thought of "throwback" as in "setback" and thought "What a cool thread idea to showcase your failed developments and things gone wrong or far worse than expected!". Well, a restrospective thread is still cool, of course.

Hey, if there isn't one for those already why not. I looked at the idea as a way to encompass those images that might never had made the site, were works a long time ago, I imagine a "failed development" could certainly be retrospective lol....

I have seen a thread where it showcased big mistakes called "Show us your blunders" but as far as I can tell the thread has been inactive for over a year.

If this one can gain more traction (and I will see if there are any more oldies on my laptop), then there can be a better chance we can see a second thread to showcase the mistakes we made in planning!
