Hi Dirk and staff,

I was wondering if there was a way to see all of a game's relevant files in one place. I would have thought that SC4 buildings would include all the SimCity 4 files, since it is the parent group, but instead it only contains those files that are actually buildings (BATs), and Lots, mods, dependencies, and other files are relegated to their appropriate subsections. This issue exists with the PLEX as well (and, I assume, all other areas of the STEX).

It wouldn't be too bad if I could get there by clicking on the most recent category at the bottom of the STEX main page, but unfortunately that list of 4 items appears to not be clickable, and thus not register any files past the 4 most recent.

 

While I'm at it, an option to only search STEX titles and descriptions (and exclude comments) would be greatly appreciated, but I'd prefer the former first, if only because it seems easier to implement.

Hi APSMS,

We do have an update planned for the site, which will hopefully provide a few more navigation options. One of these are custom activity streams, which expand on the existing "New Content" feed, and are more configurable. As well as some default ones, it will allow you to setup your own personal feeds. For example, a list of files for the SC4 categories, or ones you'd like to easily access.

As well, it allows just files to be listed, filtering out any reviews / comments. It's really a powerful new feature.

I believe the ability to search in titles will also be added, amongst changes to the search page.
