Here in New York it's been in the 20's all week, dropping into the teens at night. No snow, though. The weather isn't cooperating with the schoolkids this year.3.gif

Due to the El Niño condition, this is the first time this winter it's stayed perpetually below freezing for a whole week running. New York has had basically no sticking snow, though back home in north Stamford, out of the city and at 490 feet above seal level, we had a couple temporary dustings of sticking snow. Downtown, near sea level? All melting as soon as it hits the ground.38.gif

The past few days it has been overcast with a few sprinkles here and there but today we got hit with quite a bit of rain. Tomorrow it is supposed to be a bit calmer.

There's a blizzard warning until 7am tomorrow here, and its been snowing ever since I got up, creating drifts everywhere.

Same here. Miami County of Ohio is under level 2 - a couple of nearby counties are at level 3 (ie, you can be arrested for being on the road).

It looks quite ugly out there. I will find out first hand in a couple of minutes on my way to work.

Snow storm warnings all around to the south and east.  Missed us.  Light snow, -16°C.  We have about 12 cm of snow on the ground from two weeks accumulation.

Well, we got an inch or two of snow last night... and then a few inches of hail this morning into this afternoon. In the morning it was little chunks of ice about twice the size of grains of salt. By the afternoon it had gone down to grain of salt size. Of the 12 professors in the civil engineering department, 2 of them showed up today. I had class with one of them at 9 this morning. 31.gifSomeone in that class said waking around outside was like getting sandblasted in the face. I, fortunately, had most of my head covered, so I experienced no such sensation. Still felt the cold and the wind, though. Manhattan college than got some sense and canceled afternoon and evening classes... which I didn't have any of today anyway. Oh well.3.gif

I usually wouldn't post on this thread, but last night we got at least 20 cms of snow here, which is quite amazing, seeing that it hadn't snowed until mid-Jaunuary.

We have had some snow recently here in South East England, however it was (sadly) not enough to warrant a school snow day. Its all gone now and its just overcast and dry at the moment.

Huron/Perth district, Southwestern Ontario:  8 inches of snow on the ground.  Temperatures floating around zero.  Had to blow snow out of the driveway for the first time this year.  The day was bright and sunny.

Right now it's 25F with freezing fog. If that isn't icy enough, it is also very icy from yesterdays warm 40F, melting the snow, and now the melted snow has iced over. Everyone is doing the penguin walk this morning.
