I'm currently aiming to make an airport of my own but I'm struggling to find proper buildings and props, especially regarding lighting...

@Smokytoks Yeah I would like to know what that ATC tower is too, it looks really nice and I don't have a wide selection of them.

@Smokytoks I have finished the collection. I believe it is all of the airport-related assets I have, though I didn't include all of the containers, construction vehicles etc. which I used in the airport, but there's a lot there anyway. I wouldn't recommend subscribing to them all at once, if your game is anything like mine, which can't even run after subscribing to a lot of items. But anyway here it is. And by the way, you mentioned lighting for your airport, and what I use is just the lights that come with the game (if you have the City Beautification Mod). They can be found under the lights category, but you'll have to search a bit because they don't have icons.

I downloaded a map without road connections so the airport was the only way for people to get into the city.

It works great almost all the planes are maxed out.

@tnare Nice airport design, And I never thought about removing road connections to maximize the amount of people that come in. Good idea. Also, you can add more photos if you link them from another site, like steam or imgur.

I should remove the road connections on my Saint Martin map so they have to arrive by plane or boat like they would in real life.

I use about a trillion planes  

I don't use that many but for my airport I use:

• Airport Roads
• Airport Terminal
• Runway Approach Lighting System
• One Way Street Arrows Mod (Those arrows you see, I recommend having them as taxiways and runways are one way.)
• (AD) Air control Tower
• Runway PAPI Lights

That's about it and the Map is December island By Kimchi

This guys maps are really good as they don't have road connections so you have busy harbours and airports.

The only piece of advice I have is to have the arrows on the runways pointing the same way, as it's done in real life. Otherwise, fantastic airport, and a big inspiration for my own efforts to come!

Yeah, my first thought was that it might make more planes use the airport but now I realise it wont really effect anything.

Its nice to know people are inspired by my work

I made another replica of real airport. This time it is St. Barts airport -Gustaf III Airport or Saint Barthélemy Airport  It was quite hard to get terrain right because this airport is famous due to dangerous approach and I wanted to make it correctly. Only small propeller planes can land so this time you will be watching a Cessna landing at this airport. Saba airport is requested so may be this will become a small series we will see

I also did a recreation of Kai Tak, but I don't think I ever posted it on here. Maybe I will soon. I also edited a lot of stuff on my Sint Maarten one, so the pictures are out of date. I've also been working on my main airport and others because of all the new airport mods and assets.

Welcome to the Victoria International Airport, the sole international airport for the City of Victoria and Victoria County. Airport is home to Jetblue Airways, Fedex, and houses a small Naval Aviation base just off to the side of the Cargo Center. The airport itself is not done yet. I have the basic design down as well as some beginning details like Runway Markings. Being a pilot in training it has always bothered me with the vanilla airport and the lack of detail some people put into their airports. Runway 11-29 is the sole runway though I think I may need to change it to 07-25 as I'm using the sun as a marker. Seems to rise just slightly right of the runway making the numbering incorrect. I hope to get some more screenshots up here shortly of the airport. This is my first airport project. I hope it looks as good as some of the other incredible airports I've seen on this post!

@kegocandy how far along are you with your training? I got my Solo Certification, and was heading toward my PPL but my flight instructor who happened to be my stepdad went through a split with my mom, then I moved to be on my on (wow didn't know I'd get into a small back story here lol) anyhow no I've tried hundreds of times to make a custom airport on CS. Unfortunately I have tons and tons of assets and mods to make the game actually fun for me and well my MacBook doesnt like to run Cities Skylines all too well for me.
