I like the latest building, simple but cool :) Just a suggestion, it adds a lot to the realism if you add stripes ("frames") to the windows, either in the texture or with polygons (which is probably the worse choice on a large building). Similar to this previous model of yours:

I grabbed your last upload last night. I like the way it came out. Judging from the response you got in the workshop, you may have a chance in the contest....well I think you deserve recognition. Congrats. Now I forgot how to find the follow button.

Thanks a lot !! I just posted the new one btw...

I'll post the last three I put on the workshop here soon. Seeing that I had to redo one because of the asset editor I prefered waiting a bit to see if they were really ok before uploading them here.

Dem brutalism :O Really nice concrete texture... still, I think it's a bit tiny for lvl 4 ;)

It's the same size as other level 4 buildings :thumb:

If only we had 6x6... :(

Make it 8x8 and we could make nearly every real building growable...!

I really hope this is being worked on at CO. I know AzureSpecter said they were pretty much locked in with 4x4 and there's not much that could be done to change that...I really don't understand this though. The limit had to be set at 4x4 somewhere in the code...why is it so hard to change it?

    2 problems:

    1) More buildings sizes means that CO has to supply more models and variations. 4x4 = 16 different plot sizes, 8x8 = 64 different plot size.

    2) A grid-based zoning system leaves many gaps between buildings when using curved roads. It is just not suitable for farms and other large plot assets

I am pretty sure that the zoning system will not change. I'm really looking forward to Citybound with its revolutionary zoning system. Maybe it will set a new standard.

I still don't understand that though....simply don't allow 6x6/8x8 on curves....the game won't let you do 4x4 on curves, but instead breaks it up into smaller chunks...why would this not be the same thing regardless of max lot size? And as far as models go, yeah CO would have to do some, but I believe you could trust the modding community with that one.

If it can be done, it should be done :D Also, my idea was that 8x8 buildings would only spawn when they have street access from at least 2 parallel sides like basically in every large city. I don't even want a change to the zoning tool, let the max. range be 4 tiles... that's fine with me! All the mod would have to do is figure out when a 8x8 plot is possible, and spawn it preferably instead of four 4x4 ones. Not that this sounds like an easy job but I think it's easier if you don't have to touch the zoning tools :)

Edit: of course one would still have to code more inhabitants/workers/traffic generation to not break the gameplay, and enable larger growables in the asset editor and so on. I'd totally give it a try if I were anywhere near as good as you :(
