since there appears to be a thread like this for everything else, how about you show us your arenas? they could be hockey, baseball, basketball, football(American), soccer, even cricket! i'd show mine, but it's still under construction

EDIT: This is a non-release version, that differs from the release spec in size, and texture. Eburress and I decided to release the other one, because the size was easier to deal with. Furthermore, the addons to the rear of the stadium are experimental, and there are a few issues I have to deal with concerning them.

Sadly, there's far too few really amazing arenas and stadiums available for the game at this point.

I'm definitely no BAT expert, but it's pretty sad that there's only one good version of a baseball stadium available right now, and that was the original Maxis one!

If only we could get the NDEX kids to focus on stadiums instead of skyscrapers!

Oh yes, those are beautiful! I never realised how good even the default minor league stadium can look so cool with such little surroundings. I should try to create a sports complex somewhere, too. Those don't look so hard to create, yet they look really impressive.

And about that train tunnel thing... I'm quite sure about how it's created. If you look at the point where the retaining wall starts, you can see a slight color change in the dirt texture. That means it is a custom lot. Just make it look like a section of railway, change slope settings, check orientation and TE it. Should do the trick. And yes, it looks amazing. BTW, there's a similar lot for roads on STEX. Just search for 'M-TEL'.

Hmm, I guess most of this post is a theory about an amazing rail tunnel thingy instead of admiring beautiful sports arenas. Well, I like technical stuff...

Since I'm still developing my downtown area ( rather, the four quadrants of my downtown area ), I don't have an in - game shot of my premier sports arena.

My region is Metro Sabreton , for the hardest working team in hockey, the Buffalo Sabres.

However, here's a shot of it in the Lot Editor:

Mind you, this is a replica of the real thing.  Thanks to sargeantcm, the HSBC Arena in Buffalo, NY is in SimCity, and resides in one of the four downtown quadrants of Sabreton.

Pretty cool... one of our current projects is the MTS Centre (an arena, if no one understood ) in downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada as well as CanWest Global Park in that same city... (a baseball stadium, if no one understood )...
