Hey, I just got informed about this affair. At a first glance, the name didn't ring a bell, but when I saw that rodent avatar, I realized I had 'seen' you before in ZMV's mosque BAT thread.

Well, although we haven't really met, I'd like to send my best wishes to you across the Atlantic - I hope that you will recover soon and come back with a bang! 1.gif

I could have sworn that I already posted in this thread 42.gif

It could always be alot worse, but it could always be alot better, hopefully it'll turn out to be better than expected.  Get well soon and make sure to eat alot of hospital Jello.  Unfortunatly that's all I can write, but I can try to give a virtual hug...  ::gives e-hug::

This is my personal get well wish. Get well, and get on that horse again.

For the Moose Factory, I think you can see if you are able to get on the net that everyone wishes you a speedy, complete recovery. If you can, please drop in. The party is on the house.

A very good evening to ALL!17.gif'); height=15 alt=Insert smilie 17.gif src=https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/images/smilies/17.gif width=85 border=0>

I have great news about our friend MsD.  She had her surgery this morning, and she came through with flying colors.  The infection had gotten into the sholder joint itself so they had to remove that and replace it with a metal one.  They also had to replace a couple of tendens with some kind of special cord.  The Doctors said that tissue will eventually attach itself to this cord and basicly create a new tendon.  They also had to cut out some of the sholder muscle.  The Doctors said that it wasn't enough to cause any type of perminate impairment other then a small divot where that part of the muscile used to be.  She will be a little weaker on that side but with excercise she will be able to get back some of her strength, but they doubt that she will be able get all of her strength fully back.

So, as you can tell, she did not loose her arm.

I took the print out that I made of this forum (she told me that this is what it is called, a forum not a section) to her and as you can imagine, she was so touched and very thankful.  She told me to send all her love back to all of you guys.

She will be out of commission for a while, but I promissed her that I would post from time to time to keep everyone updated on her recovery.

Thank you for that update.  I don't know MsD and just stumbled on this thread this evening but am glad to hear that her operation was successful.  I have a friend who just got an artificial shoulder 2 months ago and he is amost back to normal already.  It's amazing what the doctor's can do these days.  Please tell her that I will be praying for her speedy and complete recovery.10.gif

Thank you very much Truckin_Papa for giving us news... and a good one! As promised, I thought about her when I blew on the cake's candles. Rehabilitation will be a challenge but strong as she is, I'm very optimistic.

Dieu merci.

Wow, metal shoulder, synthetic tendons. It's great to hear that so much technology has saved that arm! Yay tech! Sounds almost... cybernetic.

MsD gets to be our honorary Simtropolis Borg! Resistance is futile...

I hope she gets a giggle out of that when she sees it...

ps) I hope this comment isnt too late, I haven't been online in a few days.

OMG! I knew you had to go to the hospital, but there's more! I am so sorry to hear that there were complications. You do seem to have a very positive outlook on things, and your warm presence is missed. There should be a great chance of you coming back in one piece, from what I've been told, and I certainly will pray frequently that you do, I've rarely heard of something so terrifying. I thought becoming diabetic was bad! May all of the religious population pray and thus send all of our graces upon you. I hope you can perservere and stay optimistic, and we impatiently wait for your very welcomed return to Simtropolis.

    That is kind of funny.

I know that I promised to add all of you guy's well-wishes to the list, but the forums are being a pain and not letting me edit the post so that I can add them to the list.  I guess that it got tired of me editing my post a bazillion times.47.gif

Also, this is a little bit late, but at the request of zmveliger, I have created a sig link to this thread.

<CENTER><B><A href=https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=70912><FONT size= 1 ><FONT color=FF6666>One of our members, MsD, is in the hospital with a serious condition.
If you would like to wish her well, please click here.</FONT color=FF6666></FONT size= 1 ></A></B></CENTER>

All that you have to do is copy it into your sig.  Feel free to change the colors or anything like that.  If you would like to customize it, but don't know how, send me a PM and I see what I can do for you.44.gif

EDIT:  The code that I just pasted will make a link that looks just like the one in my sig.
