Simtropolis Podcast - An Idea for the Future

So, how would you all like to be able to download a monthly 20 - 30 minute long podcast about SC4? Most of the wise ones would say, Fantastic idea Simman. It is in fact, a absolutely fabulous idea if I do say so my self. Below is al ist of what would be included in the podcast:

*Beginning Theme Song*

- Monthly BATT Reviews, Modd Reviews, Map Reviews

- Monthly Roundtable - ST Issues, SC4 News, Spore News

- Monthly Interview - Members, Modd, Admins

- Random Thoughts, Answer Mailbag

- Conclusion, Second Roundtable Discussion

*Ending Theme Song*

 

The people taking place in the monthly talkshow or podcast has been decided: Dusktrooper, Simman and JohnB. We are still looking for one more member of ST to be a part of the show. Please contact me if you are interested. We are looking for someone thatl oves ST, loves SC4, is outgoing, and can project voice clearly. WARNING: This idea is only in planning.

 

So, what do you think? Praise and criticism welcome.

This sounds like a intresting idea, I would like to see this develop. This also reminds me I need to get a specker at some point. But I do hope this stays fair and as real media does dosen't go pure bias.

The idea is great, but make a version for those of us who don't have iPods.  And if you do make a WMA version, make sure it is downloadable for those of us whose firewalls won't grant WMP access to the internet.

I am contacting someone I know that produces podcasts. Hopefully he will be able to tell me what programs I will need to record and edit. Thanks for all your great comments.

Right now, we are still trying to sort everything out. I'll post another reply once I get the programs ready and we can start recording.

Its a good idea, it would be interesting to see if people would be willing to update it very often, but I very much like the idea. Plus its a good way to get the simtropolis word out there. I think this would work if you did it through iTunes. You could offer a simple downloadable version as well, but iTunes would be much more convinient and better. Good luck with this idea. I wonder where it will go...

Thanks again for all your comments. I've gotten all of the programs needed to produce, record, and edit the podcast. Expect an introductory podcast in the near future; all I have to do is set up the other Hosts.

 

The hosts of the show have been decided and are: Dusktrooper, JohnB, Simman, SC4Meister (Unconfirmed), and GingerBlokey.

 

Right now we are still looking for some writers. These writers would create the scripts, reviews, and interview questions. We would be needing up to 3 writers. Please PM me interested.

 

Trust me, this show will keep you coming back to ST for many months to come. Expect some very cool interviews, very cool.
